Got my official notice today! MOPARS at the Battleship, 28 April 2012! Who got theirs? Who's going?

I'm probably going to convoy the family in the Caravan on this trip. Take them around the ship then let them go on their own while I hang out...show off my brake dust and see if any spanking new 2012 cars with temp tags can take best in show. Probably knock an extra door out of alignment just for the points! Good times!

As of now, April 7th look's good if that works for you guy's. Our 30th Anniversary is on April 1st so we would love to get together to kind of celebrate that next weekend!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We couldn't think of any better way to spend it than seeing all of you guy's and having some fun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:wavey:

I can help you with that. I don't loan tools, but I'll come over with it and we can cut it...or at least measure it out and see if it'll work.

Thanks! That will work. I just need one diagonal cut across the top and then cut the side splashes to match the 135 degree corner. They say to use a diamond or special carbon blade to do the cuts. If you can tell me the diameter of your saw blade, I'll buy the right blade to make the cuts. My daughter is home from school until Wednesday so I don't want to rip apart the bathroom until she is gone. I will need to make a template out of cardboard to fit the area where the vanity top will go before we make the cut. Let me know when would be a convenient time after Wednesday and I'll get everything ready.

We will be having a un-official Cruise-In behind the Best Western next to the Battleship Friday Evening before the show.

After the Car show, there is a BIG Cruise-In starting a 4pm just on the West side of the tuned at the Alabama Cruise Terminal parking garage. A bunch of are planning on going to it as well.

Don't forget, If you or anyone coming in from out of town Friday, need a place to wash you car, let me know as I will be out detailing mine Friday as well and you are welcome to drop by and do yours as well. :smileup: Just give me a heads up so I will be on the look out for you. If you have that, you'll be fine. The event takes all day, so you need a place to sit, something to drink and something to prevent sun burns. I usually get burnt at shows. The first aid kit and fire extinguisher are for points in the judging. You'll have fun. :smiley_thumbs_up:

I will begin onsite drive through photos (with the battleship as the backdrop) around 7am. Onsite 4x6 prints will be $5.00 and framed 4x6 prints will be $15.00. $4.00 of each onsite 4x6 print will be donated to the shows charity beneficiary.

I should be there around 8am..

From what I understand, ALL DSM members will be on the same row.. I am going to try to get there before everyone else so I can get the DSM Banner up a Blue Canopy at the starting of our row.. That will be our row that all DSM members cars will be on regardless of which chapter you are in... BEMA I think is on the First Row nearest the Battleship.. They are trying to keep each club on a separate row this year To keep all the confusion down, make sure you tell them which club you are affiliated with when you start to enter the parking area.

Don't forget about the Cruise In starting at 4pm after the show at the Alabama Cruise Terminal Parking Garage! EVERYONE IS INVITED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :smileup:

Really Liked the way you were judged!!! Had 192 registered cars, to speed things up, the judges judged on 1 part of the car i.e. windows, paint and body, undercarriage, and interior, then they gave their score to a score keeper. No one knew your score till all they returned to the tent (I think).
