View Full Version : My current list of projects...
AmishCrackDealer 01-02-2012, 02:42 AM After talking with the guys at the M&G today - I have way too many projects unfinished on my charger. SO the only way I can fix that is to make my list and start checking them off.
Didnt know if anyone was interested - but heres what I'm working on:
1) Hood Scoop. I was trying to incorporate the hood scoop into a functional forced air intake setup - but couldn't make the setup look good. After the group discussion today, I came home and started in on it again. I believe I have a solution! It wont be part of the air intake system for the engine, but will help force air ontop of the motor so its something.... Hoping to use some reimbursement money to buy the scoop - then its on like donkey kong! CHANGE: - going with a shaker hood scoop instead...
2) Catch can. I used the directions I got from a previous post (Igolo posted them) and found a can I want to use. I have the mounting brackets made and am planning to hit Lowes tomorrow to buy the remaining necessary parts I need. Any kind of luck and I will have it installed tomorrow! :) - DONE!http://deepsouthmopars.com/showthread.php?t=9719
3) Gas Cap/Fuel door. I want to remove the stock Charger fuel door and install a gas cap similar to the Challenger. I have the cap and a rough mock-up of the fascia I want to make. Once I get the catch can and scoop done, I am planning to get to work on this.
4) New grille. Not sure if I am going to replace the entire thing or just paint the chrome grille I have. I would like to remove the slats in the grille and replace them with a black honeycomb. I watched some youtube videos today so I know how to remove the front bumper to get to the grille.
5) Lights. I want to grab some undercar lights and make my car ride on a sea of green neon. Its not a "have to do" on my list, but I thought it would be cool.
6) Fender Flares. Thinking something small, at the lower sections of the fenders. Somethign too break up the flatness of the sides of the car. Leanign towards modifying a pair of rigid mudgaurds...
ok - so thats my "projects". It helps me to have the list to work from. :)
NOTPAID4 01-02-2012, 02:57 AM Sounds like a GREAT listing to me! I really like your ideas! I just put new catch cans on THREE of our cars. They came with everything need for install.
I also found a set of YELLOW neons and put those on my BLUE Magnum.
I got very luck on my Blue Magnum as it came with the SRT front facia which included the black honeycomb grill which I really like the look of.
Some day, I'd love to find some type of scoop for our magnums. I do have a set of "stick on" type; not sure IF I'll ever use these though; we'll see.
And... it is FUN to make up a list of things you want to do to your ride or rides and then figure out which ones YOU actually can do.
I have a set of the THREE PILLAR POD and all the gauges and haven't found anyone willing to hook them up for me. Believe a mechanic should do this!
Igolo 01-02-2012, 12:21 PM Sounds like you got a good list!!! Let me know if I can help ya with any of it!! I've got an extra grille for your ride, so if you want to paint mine and then we can just swap it out for yours, I'm good with that. You also might want to hit up ebay for the honeycomb insert. I've seen them for a reasonable price on there.
AmishCrackDealer 01-02-2012, 02:08 PM hahaha - shoulda known you'd have my parts laying around your garage. :)
Kinda exploring what a magnum front clip would look like... If I recall, I'd have to cut it around the area where it meets the side fenders.... but I can fiberglass... hmmmm... might be adding it to the list.
I would like to do something to the interior... just not sure what. Trying not to think about it until I get some of the other projects checked off the list.
Gunracer in New Orleans had some lowered front coils - might see if he still has them too, my car was the tallest one in our group yesterday - looked like it was 4x4'd. haha
Igolo 01-02-2012, 02:27 PM lol...It's always something man!! As far as putting the front clip on, everything bolts up except the body lines are different between the two so you have to take a set of charger fenders and magnum fenders and weld the two together and it would be freakin sic!! I'm still thinking of doing the charger frontend which is why I have the extra parts.
Oh as far as drop springs, I'll be pulling mine off soon. I'm going to do a complete suspension overhaul!!
AmishCrackDealer 01-02-2012, 02:42 PM really... so if i offer to help you, think we could tackle mine too?! :)
Igolo 01-02-2012, 02:48 PM I'm sure we could figure something out! lol
AmishCrackDealer 01-02-2012, 02:54 PM 10-4...
off to finish up my homemade catch can now!
Igolo 01-02-2012, 02:58 PM Post pics when ya finish up!
AmishCrackDealer 01-02-2012, 05:42 PM Catch Can done!
Did a whole "how-to" post. Total cost = $27.45

I'll add the link to the catch can post...

Igolo 01-02-2012, 06:56 PM Sweet!! Nicely done!
1FastHemi 01-02-2012, 07:20 PM That is a great looking job ! I would have never thought of using an Aluminum Water Bottle.
AmishCrackDealer 01-02-2012, 07:25 PM well - i figure i wont have to empty it as often because its pretty big - like 24 oz or something. I just added $4 worth of black wire loom to hide the huge red fuel line - so I'm up to $31.45... :)
Car seems to drive fine - no issues no problems. I got on it a few times too - just to make sure :)
AmishCrackDealer 01-03-2012, 04:16 AM I am going to add New Grille to the list... updating the list now... :)
hmmm - was already on there - hahaha.
I am thinking something different but cool. No crossbars and a black mesh incert! Kinda like the Danko grille, but nowhere near $300.
AmishCrackDealer 01-08-2012, 02:11 AM changing the air scoop idea - going with a shaker hood scoop instead.
also got some new pedals - we'll see how they look tomorrow.
also working an idea for some fender flares... hoping to check that out more tomorrow too.
AmishCrackDealer 01-09-2012, 12:20 AM pedals are on!
if i can score an engine cover from a hemi, then I can go back to my original idea of the air scoop. fingers crossed....
lowriderman3 01-09-2012, 12:26 AM Very nice!
AmishCrackDealer 01-13-2012, 04:37 PM ok - update on my mod-list:
Looks like I will be getting some new rims in a few weeks - pretty excited about that!
I am also going to build 2 different air scoop for my Charger. I simply cant decide which one I like best - so I am just going to build both and see. Maybe I'll make a voting poll and post it for everyone to vote on :)
Im thinking of changing out the tail section. I am planning to go the mall and find a new charger in the parking lot. I will torch the entire rear of the car and bring it home so I can figure out how to mold it on my charger... :)
Harpslinger 01-13-2012, 07:06 PM Curious, what were you planning for the hood before the shaker option.
AmishCrackDealer 01-14-2012, 02:27 AM haha - believe it or not - I think the original idea is the one I'm going with. I have a 2bbl carb I drilled out so its wide open and I am going to attach a hilborn scoop to it and drop it on top. The whole assembly will come thru the engine cover and the hood! Will just blow cold air on the engine, but will have a HUGE "wow" factor!!
:)
CaptCharger 01-14-2012, 02:52 AM Hmm i cant wait to see that. what kind of hood do you have right now?
AmishCrackDealer 01-14-2012, 02:56 AM Hmm i cant wait to see that. what kind of hood do you have right now?
a white one... :hah:
just plain old stocker. Once I get the setup complete - I'll remove the hood and make the cuts. Cant wait!!!!!!
CaptCharger 01-14-2012, 02:58 AM a white one... :hah:
just plain old stocker. Once I get the setup complete - I'll remove the hood and make the cuts. Cant wait!!!!!!
DUH if i had looked at your avatar i might have saved you a reply LOL
AmishCrackDealer 01-14-2012, 02:59 AM hahahaha. thats ok - I didnt look at that either :)
CaptCharger 01-14-2012, 03:17 AM Eventually i want to get an SRT hood. would rather have an OEM one. might start looking for one this summer.
AmishCrackDealer 01-15-2012, 01:07 PM Well thanks to Jhemi Ray - I am on my way with the one-of-a-kind hood scoop! He gave me an engine cover he wasnt using and I spent a few hours fitting it to my engine last night. I did it by flashlight so I need to doublecheck it this morning. haha.
I think I have the mounting points figured out and will attempt that today. Then its time to paint!
After that mod is finished - I have a stock grille (thanks to Igolo) that I am going to mod and install. My plan for it is to basically remove the crossbars and slats and replace them with a black mesh grille. Similar to the Danko wide mouth, but not identical... ;)
All of this will have to wait until after next weekend tho - when I go get my new wheels and tires!
This club rocks!
Challngd 01-15-2012, 01:10 PM I can't wait to see some pics and new rims and tires on your ride.
AmishCrackDealer 01-15-2012, 01:24 PM ...me too... :)
Jettech104 01-15-2012, 01:54 PM Can't wait to see what you come up with!!:smileup:
AmishCrackDealer 01-15-2012, 05:39 PM well - the engine cover is chopped and now fits the 3.5 like a glove! Its centered up and adds just enough cover to make the engine look good. haha. The 3.5 just looks lopsided - this cover cleans it up for sure. but now my big dilema is whether or not to continue with the open carb/hilborn scoop idea or go a new direction that the wife suggested - turn this cover into a shaker scoop. I'd finish it up (some fiberglass and paint) then add a scoop to the top of it and cut the hole in the hood so it just pops out enough to break up the flat plain hood. The shaker scoop would likely be either a 70's Trans am style or something similar to the mustang cobras.
decisions, decisions....
CaptCharger 01-16-2012, 02:29 AM If you ever need any help. I dont know a lot but i am willing to learn and help. just let me know.
Bill
AmishCrackDealer 01-16-2012, 02:50 AM Thanks Bill.
My schedule is so whacked that I find myself doing more mods at night than during the day. haha.
I can finally relax tho - I have figured out the finished look for the hood scoop. FINALLY... ugh. I have the chopped engine cover, will be black to match teh engine. On the top, I am going to mount a "shotgun scoop" (looks like 2 long muffler tips placed side by side with 2 butterflys in the opening). This will require me to still cut the hole in the hood, but now the scoop will just pop thru it. Since its mounted to the engine (not the hood), the scoop with shake like a challenger or mustang shaker, but it will look like a supercharger scoop. Hard to explain but I cant wait to finish it up.
I'm done working on it for now. I have to go back to New Orleans for the week and on Saturday I am going to Atlanta to get my new wheels and tires. Hopefully Sunday I will be back on it :)
AmishCrackDealer 01-21-2012, 01:56 AM bwhahahahahahahahahaha!!!!!!!!!!!
New rims and tires tomorrow!
Just bought my scoop for my latest project/mod
Just too excited - had to post :)
CaptCharger 01-21-2012, 03:34 AM cant wait to see it
AmishCrackDealer 01-21-2012, 09:41 PM Heres my new rims - they are a little grungy from the wicked ride home today! Thanks to ScatPack for the trade idea - worked out great for both of us!
http://i375.photobucket.com/albums/oo200/AmishCrackDealer/1-21-12003.jpg http://i375.photobucket.com/albums/oo200/AmishCrackDealer/1-21-12005.jpg
I already had a set of lowering coils before I got home (Thanks Igolo)!
I finally got my reimbursement check from work so the air scoop is ordered and I have the engine cover (Thanks Jhemi Ray) trimmed to fit my little v6 so things are progressing nicely.
http://i375.photobucket.com/albums/oo200/AmishCrackDealer/1-21-12002.jpg
I still need to finish the engine cover installation before the scoop goes on - then its time to put a hole in the hood :)
Hoping to have almost all of it done by the time the Shindig comes around. I am going to try and make it this time!
lowriderman3 01-21-2012, 09:43 PM ^^Lookin' super my brother!
AmishCrackDealer 01-21-2012, 09:44 PM Thanks! - but just wait - you aint seen nuttin yet!
lowriderman3 01-21-2012, 09:46 PM ^^Awesome to hear! That is what it's all about!
Igolo 01-21-2012, 10:26 PM Looks sweet man!!! Can't wait to check it out in person!! No problem on the coils, but I got more surprises for ya too..lol
AmishCrackDealer 01-21-2012, 11:24 PM hahaha...
Awesome! but you have to give me some stuff to paint for you. Unless you want some leopard print vinyl... I have about 6 or 8 feet of it... :)
Igolo 01-22-2012, 02:15 AM lol... I'll pass on the leopard print... besides I won the Carbon fiber vinyl, and I don't want to know what your doing with the leopard print..lol
AmishCrackDealer 01-22-2012, 02:42 AM hahaha
It was $1 - never know when you'll need it...
AmishCrackDealer 01-28-2012, 01:17 AM new scoop is almost done....
http://i375.photobucket.com/albums/oo200/AmishCrackDealer/1-27-12002.jpg http://i375.photobucket.com/albums/oo200/AmishCrackDealer/1-27-12003.jpg
still need to finish the mounting system for it and then rig up the butterflies to the throttle - then its time to cut a hole in the hood!
lowriderman3 01-28-2012, 01:43 AM ^^Dude that looks wicked thus far!
CaptCharger 01-28-2012, 04:16 AM your engine is a 3.5L? i thought you had like a 5.7L
AmishCrackDealer 01-28-2012, 04:19 AM nope - just a little v6...
but it aint going to look like a little v6 :)
http://i375.photobucket.com/albums/oo200/AmishCrackDealer/1-27-12001.jpg
Cashman 01-28-2012, 05:23 AM Omg I can't wait to see that thing mounted and working lol how are you going to work it with the throttle? Aren't the 3.5's drive by wire like the v8's?
AmishCrackDealer 01-28-2012, 11:52 PM yeah... I consulted with Igolo and Jhemi Ray today (had to show em). Between the three of us I think we came up with a plan to tie the butterflies with the gas pedal. I just finished the mounting brackets this afternoon/evening. Gonna break it all down and paint the parts that need paint, then reassemble it and figure out how to cut the hole in the hood. :) Its friggin crazy looking dude! I sat in the drivers seat and started the car up with it bolted in place - WOOHOO! Crazy looking - shakes like it should - its just friggin cool.
AmishCrackDealer 01-28-2012, 11:58 PM ok - time to update the list!!!
1) Gas Cap - old school '68 Charger gas cap in place of the stock fuel door.
2) propane flamethrower system
3) SRT suspension upgrade
4) Magnum front end swap
5) New paint - "Green With Envy"
6) New exhaust - something a little louder to go with the new scoop :)
CaptCharger 01-29-2012, 02:33 AM where you going to get that old school gas cap?
AmishCrackDealer 01-29-2012, 08:36 AM I've actually had the gas cap for about 5 years - longer than I've had the Charger :)
Jettech104 01-29-2012, 06:21 PM Those scoops look sick! Your car will be unique with those scoops! Trips for doing ask the work yourself!
AmishCrackDealer 02-01-2012, 07:31 PM List update:
Scoop - almost done final prep work before install. Once installed I will mark and cut the hood as necessary.
gas cap - havent done much with it. Been working on the hood.
Paint - have an idea for a pretty wicked paintjob. Going to wait until the mods are done before doing paint.
Suspension - Got to order some brackets but it is sitting comfortably waiting for its turn in Igolo's garage :)
Magnum front end - thinking this is going to happen. Been discussing it with my magnum friends and I think it is doable. I am going to get some spare fenders to play with as far as fitment. Its officially on the list tho... :)
Igolo 02-01-2012, 07:50 PM List update:

AmishCrackDealer 02-02-2012, 01:41 PM bwhahahaha - I thought you might. :)
I'll be back in MObile this afternoon - FOREVER! You guys still working on things Saturday?
Igolo 02-02-2012, 06:17 PM bwhahahaha - I thought you might. :)
I'll be back in MObile this afternoon - FOREVER! You guys still working on things Saturday?
Yep, we'll be in the shop... Hoping to finish up, but there's still plenty to be done.
AmishCrackDealer 02-02-2012, 08:25 PM might drop by if that'd be ok....
Igolo 02-02-2012, 11:56 PM No prob man, your welcome anytime.
AmishCrackDealer 02-04-2012, 10:37 PM Well - thats one project off the list now :)
Scoop is installed and completed (more or less). Still need to tie in the butterflies to the gas pedal, and do a small trim of paint around the scoop, but for the most part its done.
http://i375.photobucket.com/albums/oo200/AmishCrackDealer/2-4-12002.jpg http://i375.photobucket.com/albums/oo200/AmishCrackDealer/2-4-12001.jpg http://i375.photobucket.com/albums/oo200/AmishCrackDealer/2-4-12006.jpg
I also acquired some upgraded suspension parts including aftermarket lowering springs and struts and some SRT sway bars. Woohoo - going to be a few weeks before they get installed, but they are pretty much next "on deck" for mods...
lowriderman3 02-04-2012, 10:39 PM ^^That is sweet bro! Can you post some bigger pics please?
AmishCrackDealer 02-04-2012, 10:43 PM not sure how...
lowriderman3 02-04-2012, 10:44 PM not sure how...

elee07SE 02-04-2012, 11:07 PM The scoops look awesome, nice job!!
AmishCrackDealer 02-05-2012, 12:12 AM thanks
wife hates it - well - she hates that I cut a hole in the hood of my brand new car - hahaha - shes been married to me for 20 years - you'd think she'd know me by now
:)
Igolo 02-05-2012, 12:15 AM Looking sharp man!!! It was a blast ridin with ya today, the new scoop sure turns some heads!!!
AmishCrackDealer 02-05-2012, 04:03 AM yeah - it was cool to see people's reactions :) Jimmy kept saying "that car looks like its made for speed" hahah
figure we'll get to the suspension when you get back from vacation - if the speedwagon is finished by then. :)
Igolo 02-05-2012, 12:29 PM Sounds good, don't forget to get your brackets coming.
It should be finished today, with any luck. :smileup:
AmishCrackDealer 02-05-2012, 01:03 PM 10-4. I will get them ordered tomorrow! Good call - almost forgot about the brackets...
Gonna be over in Ocean Springs today - friend of mine just bought a house and needs help painting - so wont be able to come over and help like yesterday :) I know it will be tough to finish without all my help - but you guys can do it... bwhahahahahahaha
Igolo 02-06-2012, 12:38 AM We did but it wasn't the same without ya!!!
AmishCrackDealer 02-06-2012, 12:55 AM awesome! so does that mean you guys are going to make it to the M&G saturday? we're meeting at Spanish fort scenic overlook to caravan over...
Igolo 02-06-2012, 01:10 AM I'm in for sure, unless something happens. I think Jim's gonna try to make it too.

AmishCrackDealer 02-09-2012, 08:52 PM Good luck, bud.
So I am working a grill right now. I have some suspension gear that will be going on in a few weeks and I needed something to hold me over until then. :)
AmishCrackDealer 02-11-2012, 10:54 PM ok - working on the new grille!
when its done - suspension upgrade is ready and waiting!
then I may see if I can finally tackle that gas cap fuel door...
its coming along..... :)
lowriderman3 02-12-2012, 03:34 AM ^^Good to hear!
AmishCrackDealer 02-19-2012, 08:12 PM New grille is done - will be installed either next weekend or the following one.
Suspension upgrade is collected - will be installed in 2 weeks!
Just finished installing some wheel spacers to punch out the rear tread a little wider than normal (kinda goes with the look I'm after). AWESOME!
Going to start working under the hood now on some dress up things...
lowriderman3 02-19-2012, 09:29 PM Sounds super my brother!
Budakane 03-01-2012, 08:19 AM One of the most original, and best looking customs I have ever seen, And I have seen a lot. Mad Kudos!! My Killer bee project is almost done........
AmishCrackDealer 03-02-2012, 12:28 AM Thanks!
It aint done yet... new suspension goes in this Saturday!
Then I'm thinking it may be about time to "upgrade" the audio system....
Igolo 03-02-2012, 01:01 AM Thanks!
It aint done yet... new suspension goes in this Saturday!
Then I'm thinking it may be about time to "upgrade" the audio system....
Oh yeah, who's doing the suspension...lol :smileup:
AmishCrackDealer 03-02-2012, 03:07 AM WE ARE ! woohoo
Viper Truck 03-02-2012, 08:38 AM Here's the thing about your mod list. Your car is looking great!! and once you get done.....wait.. You NEVER get done with Mods!! LOL!!!
AmishCrackDealer 03-03-2012, 01:12 AM lol - i know arty. :)
im having way too much fun playing with this car
AmishCrackDealer 03-04-2012, 12:48 PM So installed the lowering springs and SRT front swaybar yesterday. Dropped the front about 2". It definately has the raked look now! Didnt install the rear lowering springs - but am seriously thinking about just installing the rear SRT swaybar. Its looking wicked!
http://i375.photobucket.com/albums/oo200/AmishCrackDealer/charger/SNV33074.jpg http://i375.photobucket.com/albums/oo200/AmishCrackDealer/charger/SNV33076.jpg
Thanks to Igolo and JhemiRay - partners in crime!
AmishCrackDealer 03-04-2012, 01:00 PM So now my current list of projects:
air scoop = DONE
Suspension = DONE
Grille = DONE
Rims and Tires = DONE
Tint = DONE
Exhaust = sorta done
CatchCan = 1st attempt / fail = back to drawing board...
Gas door = designing
Interior rollbar = designing
undercar lighting = saving money :)
NOS system = debating
Igolo 03-04-2012, 01:01 PM No problem man! Any time!!
AmishCrackDealer 03-06-2012, 03:15 AM Hoping to get my new flowmaster exhaust installed this coming Saturday!!
AmishCrackDealer 03-11-2012, 01:57 PM flowmaster exhaust - check!
Sounds friggin killer to me. I kept my custom tailpipes and dumped the stock muffler for a flowmaster 40 series. Its definately louder and has a little more rumble, but the tone still isnt what I am looking for. I am getting some chrome tips this morning to clean it up, but I am designing and building some resonators which I think will deepen the tone to what I want. Fingers crossed!
I also figured out how to make my scoop functional as a forced air intake. So thats on the list of things to do today as well.
Still drawing out the interior rollbar - but pretty sure I'm going to be attempting that one very soon as well.
AmishCrackDealer 03-11-2012, 10:56 PM Managed to finish the scoop today. It is now forced air intake - woohoo!
got the rollbar figured out eoday too, hope to start on it in the next few days.
lowriderman3 03-11-2012, 11:00 PM ^^Awesome brother! You are for sure moving right along!
AmishCrackDealer 03-18-2012, 02:03 PM So now my current list of projects:
air scoop = DONE (forced air intake so the scoop is FUNCTIONAL)
Suspension = DONE (need to install rear sway bar)
Grille = DONE
Rims and Tires = DONE
Tint = DONE
Exhaust = DONE (magnaflow with custom pipes)
CatchCan = 1st attempt / fail = back to drawing board...
Gas door = designing
Interior rollbar = waiting for my pipe bender to arrive!!!!
undercar lighting = changed my mind
NOS system = waiting on income tax money!!!! (75 shot with purge kit)
Daytona front spoiler = waiting for it to arrive!!!!
I started making a fiberglass radiator cover, but its not doing well. I would love to get the underhood dressup parts from 3G instead - so that may happen in a few months...
Once I get everything finished, I believe I have a paint scheme worked up. I wanted to have everything done in time for the Shindig in August, but I had to choose between NOS and Paint and NOS won. I may still figure out how to squeeze the money for paint - but the wife has a list of mods she wants me to do to her Camaro, so that is a factor.
lowriderman3 03-18-2012, 02:13 PM ^^Sounds awesome still my brother!
AmishCrackDealer 03-20-2012, 02:23 AM ok - so I spent my evening working on an ABS cover. I made it so it also covers the strut covers. I finished up around 9pm, adn it looked good then. I am going to see if it still looks good tomorrow afternoon before I post pictures. :)
AmishCrackDealer 03-20-2012, 09:55 PM ok - so it didnt look too bad in the daylight - so I'll share :)

It will eventually be trimmed nicely and painted to match the car. The other side is going to be the tough one... big empty area where the air filter used to be...
Igolo 03-20-2012, 10:08 PM Looks good from what I can see.. You need bigger pics..lol
AmishCrackDealer 03-21-2012, 01:05 AM yeah - gotta figure out how to do that...
AmishCrackDealer 03-24-2012, 03:55 PM some more small pictures for you... :)

Igolo 03-24-2012, 06:49 PM Those look cool man!! You been busy this morning!
AmishCrackDealer 03-24-2012, 10:32 PM If the weather holds out for me - I am planning to finish the bodywork around the hood-hole tomorrow. Now I'm searching for a charger front fascia so I can snag the headlight areas for my new project.... ;)
Igolo 03-24-2012, 10:54 PM You should make a WTB thread looking for a busted fascia. Someone might have one..
AmishCrackDealer 03-25-2012, 04:08 PM great idea!
I finished painting the under-hood parts to match...

AmishCrackDealer 04-15-2012, 10:04 PM Got everything installed but ran out of steam before I finished teh wiring. I still need to get the tank filled too. My favorite part is the purge setup. :)

not really much of anything else to see right now. I ran the braided hose lines inside the frame structure and like i said - hadnt had a chance to wire up the switch and selenoids yet.

You have it looking good! Don't do to much purging.. He He....
AmishCrackDealer 04-22-2012, 05:43 PM ok- been a little "creative" this weekend...
Decided that the underhood section was my major obstacle to feeling like I was capable of showing or showing off. So I started cleaning it up. One thing led to another and before I knew it I was making new panels, painting, even busted out my old art skills...
http://i375.photobucket.com/albums/oo200/AmishCrackDealer/2010%20Charger/SNV33162.jpg http://i375.photobucket.com/albums/oo200/AmishCrackDealer/2010%20Charger/SNV33163.jpg http://i375.photobucket.com/albums/oo200/AmishCrackDealer/2010%20Charger/SNV33168.jpg
After I had the underside looking better, I finished up some detail work on the top side...

Still have some things to finish up this week (like a new front spoiler that is prepped and painted - awaiting non-30mph winds so I can apply clearcoat), but its starting to take shape :)
GngGrn 04-22-2012, 08:05 PM Looking Sweeeettttt! Looks like we'll be representing fairly well at the Battleship. Win or not, we won't be embarrassed with our showing, that's for sure. LOL!! :gy::smileup::wavey:
GngGrn 04-22-2012, 08:06 PM Also, I'm getting a "surprise" mod this week that ya'll haven't seen yet. Should look really cool and make a big difference in overall appearance. Or at least i hope so. LOL. :Wow1:
CaptCharger 04-22-2012, 09:48 PM LOL the Roadrunner is SOOO in trouble LOL
AmishCrackDealer 05-02-2012, 09:36 PM hahaha.
well, the one day i get outta work at a reasonable hour and its pouring outside! lol.
gotta find time to get my rollbar made. Almost at the painting stage....
AmishCrackDealer 05-12-2012, 09:12 PM UPDATE:
Got a new front spoiler - instead of leaving it flat black, I sanded it smooth and sprayed it to match the body color. Ironic isnt it - that I hate the color of the car but keep painting things to match it... lol
Added a rear bumper mounted battery kill switch like race cars have. Just something small but adds to the overall look. Rather than use it as a battery cut off switch, I am going to use it to control my undercar strobes (another future plan).
Have an idea on some exhaust flame throwers - still working it out but should be wild.
Just started fabricating my interior roll bar. Not strong enough steel to be legitimate for the track, but it has the look and is steel.
I need to get with a buddy who has stacks of leftover police car parts. I can snag a police backseat delete panel, a cage, some red strobes and some other parts that will really put this car over the top!
I am leaning away from the viper/challenger greens and now looking toward something more 70's-ish. It would really makie the charger stand out in a crowd and still be very clean and very custom...
AmishCrackDealer 05-13-2012, 01:56 PM So I just started thinking about all the mods I've done so far to this car, as I just realized I have had it for 1 year (as of a week ago).
* New rims and tires
* window tint
* made a new grille
* Made a forced air intake with thru-the-hood scoop
* magnaflow mufflers on custom exhaust pipes
* Hurst shifter handle and misc. other hurst parts
* custom fron spoiler
* nitrous oxide kit with purge
* locking fuel cap
* Spring Tech lowering coils
* custom tail stripe
* painted taillights
* trunk stripe
* rear wheel spacers
* custom fuse box lid (with 1 white LED) :)
* misc painted stock parts
* battery cut off switch in rear bumper
and whats sad is - I still have a list of mods left to do...
AmishCrackDealer 05-19-2012, 10:46 PM So now I'm looking at making a stand-alone, 2 - 3 gallon fuel system just so i can shoot flames out of the tailpipes. Yes - I am 12 years old. :) shut up :)
Also hitting the junkyard tomorrow to try and score a part i have wanted for awhile. I will have to modify it to fit my car, but i'm going to try it!
Going to talk to some of my old cop buddies tomrrow afternoon and see if I might be able to collect some old copcar equipment. WOOHOO!!!!
GngGrn 05-20-2012, 02:39 AM I'm sure it's gonna look awesome!! Hopefully you don't end up looking like a "roasted marshmallow" JK. :4-looney: if you need any help. Let me know. I'll do whatever I can to help. I got a couple more mods and reading you list made me realize how long mine is getting in such a short time. It's really addictive!!:smileup::SHOCKED:
AmishCrackDealer 05-20-2012, 05:02 PM yeah it is. I got the flamethrower parts collected - almost ll of them. I need to weld the spark plug bungs into the tailpipes this week (maybe this afternoon) but then we should be good to go with the rest of the install. :) next Saturday.
Hopefully Jason will lets us play in the clubhouse as long as we promise to point the flames outside - bwhahahahahaa :)
GngGrn 05-22-2012, 03:44 AM I'm in! Just gimme a call and let me know the time and place:smileup:
