My 06 RT Charger stalls out at times when driving it. It shut down on me 3 times while backing in my garage, once on hillsborough st in front of NCSU, and once on interstate 40. Its scary shutting down at high speeds because you lose power steering, and trying to not get hit from traffic. I took it to Hendrick in Cary and had them to look at it. Of course the car didn't act up and they found nothing wrong, but then the next day once again while backing in my garage it stalls out again. After it stalls out, you can put it in park and restart it with know problem as if nothing has happened. There are no check engine lights or nothing. Has anyone else had this problem or does anyone know a fix for it? I need some anwsers for this problem. Thanks

We've had some on the Challenger ForumZ with cutting off while making a turn. I don't think they figured out what's been causing it either.

Yeah its very frustrating. My car does it like 3 times a week, but there doesnt seem to be a fix. It seems like Chrysler would look into this more deeply because its an safety issue. On the Charger forum there are a ton of complaints on the same problem. Traveling 70mph+ and your car shuts off is not fun. I haven't even been wanting to drive it lately. I been driving my Jeep Cherokee also with the 5.7L Hemi. I just don't know what to do.

If I was you I would keep bringing it back everytime it happened, everytime, thus giving you the title of Lemon.I had the same problem with an 04 Harley,Harley took care of it,no questions asked just service records.Hands down a winner.Hold your ground go for blood, make then replace it.

Do you get any engine codes? Even if the check engine light is not on you might want to check if any codes are stored. If you don't have an OBDII read you can stop by AutoZone, they will check it for free.

Yeah I called the Dodge dealer and told them that im still having the problem. They said that I would have to leave it with them a while so they can figure out the problem, but im still gonna get charged a diagnose fee, which is crazy to me. I do have an OBDII scanner, and I can't get any codes to pull up. Not even a pending code. I have went a week now, and it hasnt cut off on my lately. Im keeping my fingers crossed.

Almost sounds like a limp mode in electrical system or trans. When you took it to dealer did they flash it? Also, did you buy this car new or used? Is anyhthing done to it mod wise? I ask because if you bought it used the previuos owner might have had work done and not told dealer about it when they sold it/traded it in. If she still stalls after a flash then i would leave it with them to investigate.

My first thought is a fuel injector problem. Does it happen when you're on a hill or if your gas tank is low? The Challengers cutting out after a turn definitely sound like some sort of fuel injector or fuel pump. The gas moves to one side of the tank and the injector doesn't have enough power to suck it up.

Thought the Chally had dual pumps in the tank?.........?

I think one pumps from the drivers side to the passenger side since it's a saddle tank.
