DieselDave's Official 6.1 engine build

I am starting this thread to let the members on this forum follow the progress of my engine build. After talking on the phone to Andy for over a hour on more than one occasion I decided that PWR was the way I needed to go to build some serious HP and maintain good drive ability. A few days later I pulled the trigger and sent a payment to Andy. I ordered a set of PWR Heads with upgraded Ferrea valves and beehive valve springs I ordered a cam, and a posted intake manifold. Andy says this will be good for 470+ RWHP.

Yesterday evening I came home to 2 big boxes on my door step. My heads are in. I dont know who does the machine work for PWR, but I have never in my life seen such a beautifully machined head for a street car. These are not heads, they are works of art! I was shocked when I opened the box and saw my reflection on the matting surface.

These pictures dont do these heads any justice, but they are the best I could get with the lighting I had.

congrats!! I would love to see the outcome of this build!!! If I had the money, I think this is the way I would go first. My car being a daily drive, it would be important to have something dependable, and it is something you can build on if the forced induction route is something you want later. Keep us posted!! I will keep updating the thread as I get more info and the build progresses. I am like a kid in a candy store right now! I am waiting on the cam....It should be in next week.
