View Full Version : Next mod, you decide!!!
georgiaslim 09-24-2009, 08:31 PM It's the end of summer (http://www.chargerforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=117304#) but there are a quite a few car shows and cruise-ins coming up in the next few months. I am looking for my next mod to help me to change it up a bit and put some pressure on the competition...LOL. I will know what my next mod will be next Friday based on your opinions. Thanks for the help.
RedInfierno 09-24-2009, 08:44 PM allright! we get to pick uh? thats cool, well i went with the custom painted engine since u usually pop your hood to the audience u know?

I am definitely in a toss up between the lambos and the engine bay. Most if not all the guys in the Jacksonville chapter have clean engine bays and I need to get my crap together.
Viper_One 09-24-2009, 09:07 PM Please, for love of God, do not put Lambo doors on a Dodge. They are so played out that even Lambos don't have them anymore (most).
Ill try to help you think of something worthy of envy at the shows to come.

BayouTiger 09-24-2009, 09:28 PM :DThere's definitely two groups here. When I think mod I am thinking Cam, Heads, Long Tubes, Stroker, Supercharger, Coilovers, etc, etc, etc...
I'm for the sleeper look. I try to blend as much as I can with a Torred Challenger SRT8 that is lowered and supercharged.
It's good to live in a world with choices.

Ditto. Those are the kinda mods I think of. Now if you wanna dress it up a lil bit my opinion is to keep a clean sorta classy look. Nothing gaudy or "bling" outside of chrome rims. There is a lot you can do, you just have to search and use examples to get ideas.
Gimme just one or two overall pics of your car (in this thread) and Ill try to suggest a couple of specifics.

georgiaslim 09-24-2009, 11:32 PM Here is a pic.
Viper_One 09-25-2009, 12:13 AM She's dressed up pretty nice on the outside. Really nothing I can think of that would put it over the top. Under the hood dress up, or maybe lower it a lil. You would be surprised at how big of a difference an inch makes (no pun intended :D).
Caliper color change might put the wheel well into a gaudy category just because the rims have enough color already.
A really smooth look would be a set of flat black stripes. Ive seen that on a GTS with black rims and man did that look sharp. Ill dig up a pic for ya.

RedInfierno 09-25-2009, 01:18 AM i agree with viper one... no lambo doors, they just dont look right on a four door car. At the end its yours, as long as you are happy its all that matters
TopB2972 09-25-2009, 01:51 AM I voted Other. You could do something that was on the OLD mopars. I had a 1948 plymouth special deluxe 4dr sedan. the rear doors were Suicide so both front and rear open from the middle. that would be an interesting mod.

true, i have seen a magnum with suicide doors down here, it looks sick!
jstkilntim 09-25-2009, 02:04 AM They are so played out that even Lambos don't have them anymore (most).Viper_One
You noticed that too, huh?
A custom sub box is alway good!
Nolaboi86 09-25-2009, 02:59 AM U have a real nice clean charger man but I know how it is when it comes to making it look even better. I would also say stay away from LAMBO's they r on everything now days but its ur choice in the end. I think to dress the engine bay up a lil bit rite now would be a great mod.
Viper_One 09-25-2009, 03:19 AM It's a little hard to see the full effect from these pics. Ill PM the guy and request a couple from the front and rear. You should be able to get the idea from these:

L and R Two 09-25-2009, 11:57 AM I too, will say no to the lambo doors. For all the same reasons as mentioned above.
I am going to go for the engine dress up. If you like to frequent shows, there is nothing more eye catching that seeing a clean, well dressed/colored engine bay no matter what engine is under it.
Jettech104 09-25-2009, 01:48 PM I voted for the engine bay. With that said its whatever makes you happy!!:D
georgiaslim 09-26-2009, 01:43 AM I would love suicide doors but are too pricey. The way it looks so far the engine bay will be next but next Friday will be the final count day.
MHemi 09-26-2009, 01:54 AM Hey Keon,I think STS has put out a Twin turbo for your ride!
What say you to that?;)
DebE56 09-26-2009, 06:53 AM Well I voted the engine bay because when you are out and showing off your ride you always open the hood and you need something to stand out when you do open it up. Lambo doors is out dated and suicide doors are nice but like you said quite pricey. Best mod for you to do though is the one that makes you happy. that is the way Lady Hemi is growing. One step at a time. Oh yeah don't forget to include the side markers to go along with whatever theme you use under the hood if you go that way. Kinda tie it all together. Your outside already looks great.
debster 09-27-2009, 01:03 AM I agree with what works for you is what matters.
I was thinking on the same line as Deb as far as the side markers.
I also agree with the engine bay. That can get really creative.
I like to find ways to get away from everyone else's look.
Looking good now and whatever you do I'm sure will continue to impress.
Viper_One 09-27-2009, 06:57 AM A better pic of the flat black stripes. Still my vote, never seen them on any other car before.

georgiaslim 09-27-2009, 10:50 PM those stripes do look nice.
edge56 09-27-2009, 11:11 PM Under the hood area, side marker lights and smoked tail lights that is the way to go. But, like some have said what makes you happy is the best thing to do. Have fun with it and enjoy looking at it.
georgiaslim 09-27-2009, 11:18 PM Yeah I already have my tail lights smoked and sidemarkers tinted.

These r nice Iv seen them on a charger or maggie before cant rem but it was dope!!!
Texasfinest 09-28-2009, 02:45 PM I say lambos because even though people think they're played out it's still an attention getter. Especially if u get all 4 doors done. I saw it on a 300 at the Texas heat wave tour in San Antonio and it was clean. It didn't look tacky at all. As for the stripes, I say he'll yeah. I have some on mine but they're contrast to my color and I've gotten lots of complements.
