Ugh that's rough. What I gathered is you either do fast food level or gotta have a big degree with years and years of experience there is no yanno middle ground so to speak.

Did you check SCIRES.com yet? Also, SAIC, Predicate Logic, Centurum, CGI, Boeing, others. Don't give up hope and don't be intimidated by some of the job descriptions and requirements. They use certain words to make the job sound harder than it really is.

I've put in a few apps to SAIC and CGI, I'll check out the others.

You are definitely right about the wording of most of them. Basic helpdesk positions that sound like your an electronics engineer soldering and designing mobo's in the closet before you go fix someones mouse. :4-dontknow:

Well I have a big degree, and 22+ years of experience and I have been out of work for 9 months after leaving the military. I have applied to SAIC as well but heard nothing from them, here in Augusta is the same and I have applied there in Charleston as well, good luck!!!!! I spend time volenteering!!

Not hearing back is the worst part to me. Would rather have a big middle finger in ACSII as a response instead of crickets.

It's more about who you know than what you know these days. I hate that it is that way becuase good people get left out.

An another thing if a business is close enough go turn your application and resume personally. Companies like that. Only Jobs that look for online applications are ones looking for high officials but still like to have it handed to someone than emailed.

Basically it's with Dell doing full time on-site tech support for a hospital down here. I'm pretty excited since the work is exactly what I want to do and I don't have to travel anymore lol.
