OK so I am not a engine tuning expert by no means, but I have the Diablo Predator Tuner and am currently using the 91oct cai canned tune with the Rev levels at full adjust and the mds turned off and thats about it, I go back and forth between the 93oct and 91oct and don't see a lot of difference! now I know there is a lot more to be had from the Predator but I just don"t have the smarts to do it, does anyone have any suggestions on custom tuning the 5.7 R/T to get its full potential?
My mods are MBRP catbacks, AFE stg II cai, JET 180* t-stat, and of course the Predator tuner. any help would be greatly appreciated!!!
Maybe we could make a TUNING thread on here????

Your best and safe bet is to get with a shop that has a dyno and knows how to use the predator to custom tune your car.I have friend in chas.that is going to do mine or call speedfactory in atl ga.and they can hook you up with a guy down there.you make one wrong adjustment and you could be screwed!

I know! thats why I was hoping we could get some feedback about custom tuning on here, but you are probably right better left to the pros, you would think that living 30 minutes from the racing capitol (Mooresville NC) there would be a good tuning shop closer to me!

23.7 on the highway, which is the only place mds is useful!

Cool. I jsut disabled MDS in my 06 R/T . I've been avg around 18-19 to work in mixed driving. So we'll see how I do after this week.

The predator is a powerful tool. But like v666 said you can do some serious damage if your not careful. I had my tune done at a dyno shop here in GA.
Having said that I would like to learn all the ins and outs of the predator also.
Not a bad idea.

chas.is a bit of a drive I know but I could talk to my friend about a group discount.if anything cuda you are just up the road from me.we could call the guy in ga.and talk to him and ride down there.my friend charges 150 an hour.the guy in ga I heard runs 200 first hour and a 100 after that.I have also heard it usually only runs about an hour to do.

3 Cudas there are a couple of places in Concord that have dynos and do tunes and I believe that there is one between Salisbury and Mooresville on 152 and another one 150 between Salisbury and Mooresville.
