I got a call recently from a friend of mine who is a member of S.A.R.A. and she asked me what it would take to get our club to come out and support their shows and of course I replied just a simple invite. She is suppose to get back with me with a list of dates for the functions they are planning, so I will be adding more info as it comes. I hope everyone takes a look at this and will take part. This is a great group of people and they are doing a great thing. This hits home with me as they are planning to have a benefit for my 5 year old cousin.
For those of you who are not familiar with the South Alabama Racing Angels here is their bio..
The main focus of our organization is to bring joy into the lives of local
families that struggle with special needs and or terminally ill challenges.
We are just forming and are still in the baby step stages but hope that we
will be able to turn this Mother, Daughter idea into sometling awesome
here for the Gulf Coast.
We are a non-profit organization formed of local race car drivers, their
families and friends. Deep South Speedwayis also a large part of our
orgalization. We would like to have other local tracks on board as well.
Each member is dedicated to donating as much time and eflort as they
possibly can, To become an Angel, all you have to do is donate your time
to our cause, attend events, help raise funds etc. You do not have to
commit yourself to any cash donations or any other donations period,
just your time. We will also be asking different business for donations in
any way possible to help with each fund raiser and or event.
We have created an Angel Day where we will take goodie bags of
crayons, coloring books, puzzles, etc. to children and young adults once
a month in our local hospitals/clinics. We are also trying to conduct a
year round toy drive for these children so that our Drivers may visit with
them and present them with the toys at Christmas time. You may

We will hold different plate and yard sales from time to time to raise
funds. We will also hold benefits throughout the year lor people in need
of our help. Angel drivers will display their cars at any function possible
and will be there to sign pictures, shirts etc. We are hoping to g€t an
Angel driver fund together so that we may take care of our drivers as
well, being they are the main attraction and heart of our organization. We
would like to be able to insure that they each have sponsorship
throughout each year to help with any of their racing needs.
So now that you know a little more about South Alabama Racing Angels,
we hope tiat you will join us in making our dream become a reality.
