View Full Version : HotInferno (Mick) and daughters health
HotInferno 07-12-2011, 03:26 PM During the last few months i ahve battled some health issues along side my 18 yr old daughter who has been dealing with a heart condition discovered during her Senior year Basketball season this past school year.
Things are brightening up with both of us and she will have surgery tomorrow in Pensacola to correct her heart condition.
Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers that the surgery is a success with no complications.
I will go next week for an ultrasound to confirm that I do not have cancer. The doctor has said it isn't but wants to confirm.
Thanks for all of your support!

HotInferno 07-16-2011, 02:22 PM Thank you everyone for your thoughts and prayers!!! Courtney was in surgery for 3 hours and her doctor said it was a complete success. He was able to terminate the additional electrical current causing her heart to race at twice the normal rate.
She is home with me recovering and I am trying to spoil her rotten!!!
We are thankful that she did not become a statistic this basketball season when this appeared. My heart goes out to those student atheletes who have passed from heart related incidents and their families. Sometimes they are not discovered until after the fact, we were fortunate.
Hope to see everyone soon!

Thanks Jason and Earnie, this took it's toll on us for a few months as we anxiously awaited a surgeon, hospital, insurance....
She was a trooper after being told her heart was wearing itself and could shorten her life if this was not fixed.
Many prayers and the Power from Above all of those obstacles quickly fell and the proceedure went flawless!
