lol very true...i had a hard enough time keeping up saturday on the way back to anderson lol im glad there were no troopers around cuz if i would have gotten a ticket no more magnum for me

Hey Chris,I have been thinking about what I told you above.Just so I do not steer you wrong,the saying MOPAR OR NO CAR is just that.We would like to keep it a car club,what I mean by that is we could have a hundred members easy if we went out and started recruiting people with Rams.Not that I have anything against Rams cause I do not,I know they are the best truck out there hands down.Just keep in mind cool Mopars like any SRT besides the SRT10 Ram, the SRT8 Grand Cherokee is as close as we want to a truck in the group it has low stance and I think it will fit right in,but cars like regular Neon,Caliber,Avenger,Sebring,PT Cruiser,Jeep Wrangler,Commander,Liberty,Patriot,Compass just do not have a place in the group plus we have found out that the 4 cylinder cars with out turbo just can not keep up.So in short just recruit people who have the LX And LC platform cars and of course the SRT line up.You know cool cars are what we like,we have to look good going down the road.

You are right about a Mopar is a Mopar!!!!It is just here in the upstate we have mountains that ya'll do not have in the low country,so what I said is for our group (upstate group) it is best if we recruit people with cars that can handle a curve at a fun rate of speed and a car that you can throttle off the turn and it move at a fun rate of speed.I was all for any Mopar that wanted to ride with us be welcome untill we had a PT Cruiser ride with us and we went up the mountain got to the first town and it was no where to be found.We left that PT about 20 minutes down the road.One last thing,my rides take all day as it is at a normal pace so the group can not sit and wait for a 4 cylinder car at the top of each mountain.V6 cars we have no problems with, just 4 cylinder non turbo cars.Thanks for your interest in what we do here in the upstate chapter.......

For the upstate chapter members.....If any of ya'll feel any differently please let me know and I will change my thought process.But if you agree then I am on the same page as the group and that is all that matters.

I don't have any problems with all Mopars being in the club for shows and things, but certain cars can't make the cruises. It should boil down to common sense. If you have a small underpowered car, no matter how cool it is, you can't keep up in the mountains. I don't mean to be ugly about it, but that's the way it is. That's my 2 cents.

Glad you responded Dalton just to make sure I was not out of line with the upstate group.And I agree 100% on any Mopar to go to show's with us.And I think the rest of the group feels the same way,we will find out.

No war here Edge,I understand your concern and I know if we limit the type of cars we like to join we are missing out on meeting wonderful people in our area and like you said wonderful cars also.But our rides are ALL about having a good time and if we miss lead people in smaller cars by inviting them to ride with us and they fight and stress out to keep up we are not doing them any favors.And I don't want to give ya'll the impression that we are a bunch of speed freaks that fly up mountains and don't see the sights,cause that is not true.We do go at a brisk pace but a pace you still can enjoy the ride and sights.Well enough of this,I hope someday we (THE WHOLE STATE OF S.C.) will meet in the middle soon and have one hell of a Meet & Greet and ALL MOPARS WELCOME!!!!!!!

I agree with you and Dalton,coming to the shows is one thing.But on our rides it would be very difficult for some to keep up.And I feel the same about pickups also,Rams are great but in the moutains?We talked about this on the ride with the PT that could not keep up.I say stand your ground.

Thanks Jerry,it is our club so I will stand up for we as a group believe in and agree on.I am so glad I am on the same page as you and Dalton and I hope the rest of the group also.Well enough time spent on this, I will get back to planning fun things to do for this chapter.

No you are fine Chris,if I remember correctly you were passing me on I-85 coming back from the car show in Taylors.Don't you worry about keeping up, your V6 power is plenty to keep up with us.It's by no means a non turbo PT,Caliber,Neon.I look forward to riding with ya!!!!!!!

Well we do not want you to lose that awesome ride you have....Most of the time I pull the group just 5 MPH over the posted speed limit so the last car is at least doing the speed limit.
