SiCKViCC 03-10-2011, 07:40 PM When are you getting in installed? Ohh and which car lol mclarengts 03-10-2011, 11:39 PM April 1-3 i cant wait, and on the charger... alex.kapparos 03-11-2011, 12:17 AM I don't think I could hold off that long with it just sitting there staring at me. You, my friend, are a model of self-control. 1FastHemi 03-11-2011, 12:39 AM I went thought the same thing a while back and Love Every Minute of it now!!!!!!!!!!!!! and I know you will too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I haven't done the half shafts yet. and so far the tranny is still stock. I'm running 9# every day but have other pulleys. I don't recommend you go any higher than 9# unless you go forged internals.. The instruction are excellent but I routed my water lines different than what they recommended (next to the fuel rails). It you plan on ruining an optional intake air temp censor, you will need to drill the intake before you install it, If didn't and had to go another route which I didn't care about but it does the job. If you plan on adding a mechanical fuel pressure gage you need to do it while you can get to the fuel lines behind the SC before it gets to the fuel rails before you mount the SC to the intake. Be careful on the torque wrench when you mount the SC to the intake... I went with the recommended torque and stripped out two bolts holes (The aluminum threads are weak!). I had to pull intake and fix it before I finished the job. I keep a spare belt in the trunk, and you might need it as well.. I changed over to the Gates HD belt, it has a green back/flat side, It's a lot better belt. I'm on my 3rd belt and no one stocks it around my home town but they can get it the next day if the warehouse has it in stock. If you plan on putting your car in shows, you may want to consider the fancy hoses, now it the time to do it. I wish I had. BTW, don't forget, you now will have to turn the ESP full off every time before you drive the car. If you have any questions, I know you will, give me a call. (http://www.deepsouthmopars.com/showthread.php?t=3860) I hope this picture explains it a little better http://i968.photobucket.com/albums/ae168/DocFeelgood_al/DSM%20-%20Deep%20South%20Mopars/Mobile%20Chapter/My%20Ride/DSC09589.jpg mclarengts 03-11-2011, 04:55 AM Hey 1Fasthemi, thanks for the write up. Ill print this out for the install. Why do i have to turn the ESP to full off? Sweet setup upi have, and ill prolly run my lines like you ran yours also. I wonder if I could find a braided line kit? 1FastHemi 03-11-2011, 11:04 AM Hey 1Fasthemi, thanks for the write up. Ill print this out for the install. Why do i have to turn the ESP to full off? Sweet setup upi have, and ill prolly run my lines like you ran yours also. I wonder if I could find a braided line kit? It is in the install manual somewhere or on one of the loose sheets with the word WARNING on top if it, I can't remember, If you don't, the engine will start to backfire and you may pop the edges of the piston off.. the pistons and rods in the 6.1 at NOT forged, only the crank is, and the top of the pistons are thin. The ESP doesn't know what to do with the extra HP, so it tries to slow you down. Last time I spoke with KB, they could write me another program to turn it off and keep it off all the time but I have to sign a waver telling them this is an off road vehicle for them to do it. I plan on doing a data log file in the near future and sending it to them and haveing it all done at the same time. Less $$$$$ that way. Thanks for the comments  I have been looking for a good braided hose kit but haven't found any yet (I guess I haven't been looking to hard) as it is a lot of work doing it after the install as I may have to pull the SC off to get to the lines where they hook up in the back side., and drain and bleed the system and then get all the air of if it again. (thats a lot of work and another mess to do it just for a visual thing) Lately I have been wishing I put an electric fan on the new radiator they sent (if I have enouch room on the front side) so it would help keep the SC system cooler. It get hot an humid down here near the Gulf. On short runs the system get hotter and I loose a lot of performance. If I were to pull the bumper off again, I will be installing one and be setting it so when the water temp got above 100 ? 120 Degrees it would come on and make the SC cooler, yes I know, it may be running all the time but the colder the air going in the more HP coming out. I used the red Coolant but wish I had gone with a product called Water Wetter (http://www.redlineoil.com/Products.aspx?pcid=10) of something like that as I think it also lowers the temp. BTW, I painted the front and sides of the new radiator and the new brackets with the Satin Black 500 degree ceramic paint so it couldn't bee seen through the grill. I like the sleeper look until you raise the hood. When filling the New Radiator Resurvey, put in just enough coolant above the lower fitting so you won't be sucking air, don't put in to much as it will come out around the cap and make a mess. I run mine about 3/4 in above the lower fitting now that the air is out of the system. I also wanted to go with a different fuel rail system but couldn't find one to work with KB System. Just be carefull that you have enough fuel at top rpm's and it doesn't run lean as that will do damage to pistons as well, mine is runig a little rich and that is better than lean. You can have it all check out when on the dyno. Like I said, If you have any questions, let me know and I will do my best to steer you in the right direction. mclarengts 03-11-2011, 01:30 PM Wow thanks this is all great info, I didn't know about the ESP! I'll have to have that permanantly off cause I know know I will forget. Do you do a lot of drag strip time? I was actually thinking about painting my radiator black also! Thanks again, this is so much info I didn't know! 1FastHemi 03-12-2011, 11:00 AM Wow thanks this is all great info, I didn't know about the ESP! I'll have to have that permanantly off cause I know know I will forget. I thought I would forget but as forgetful as I am I still manage to remember Do you do a lot of drag strip time? No, I just went a couple of times when I first finished the install. I don't have the time for the track, I just love eating Mustangs for as snack. I was actually thinking about painting my radiator black also! Go easy on the black paint, I don't know how much it will affect the cooling ability.. I just put a Thin Coat on the aluminum so it would hide the silver color and be invisable through the grill. I left the other side natural without paint as you can't see it once installed. BTW, if you have plans on getting a forward facing camera on the front, now is the time while you have the bumper cover off. The installer told me he could put it in with out removing it but he found out he was wrong and they had to pull it off the second time. (what a job just for a camera) If you are interested, PM/email or call me and I will tell you which unit I went with. I also have pictures of the mods need to make it work and help to keep it from being to noticeable unless you know what to look for. I now have a rear and forward camera and the forward camera comes on at about 8 mph when you slow down so you won't bump the spoiler. Now I see all kind of stuff in the street when I stop at a light. Jd3443pd 03-20-2011, 04:42 AM OOoooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ! Very nice!!!!! I can't wait to see how that turns out, not to mention how it will sound. 1FastHemi 03-20-2011, 10:01 AM Just checking back in to see how you are doing with your project  mclarengts 03-23-2011, 08:44 PM Hey thanks, I havent started, its going it April 1-3.. 1 week to go!
