View Full Version : Interior BLACKOUT build!
georgiaslim 01-30-2011, 07:50 PM Phase 1 - Woodgrain Removal
After about a week I have finally removed all the woodgrain. This started off easy but didnt end up that way. I still have some adhesive to remove and hope to have that done before end of the week.
Gonna start paint/dye process end of this week early next week. Here are some pics.

After
Deathstar 01-30-2011, 08:31 PM I like it better without the woodgrain. It's alot of work but so far it looks great! I'm in the process of blacking out my interior too. I took out all the lower dash panels(glovebox...) and my center bezel, center console... and painted them. I still need to do the door panels, but so far so good. The only PITA is the passenger side end cap because it doesn't come out. Good Luck!
georgiaslim 01-30-2011, 08:52 PM Yeah I will be doing the same. Dyeing on the beige lower panels, glovebox and piece under steering column. And I will be painting center console bezel, steering wheel insert, overhead console, and gear shifter console.
baja73 01-30-2011, 09:14 PM Looking good.
Igolo 01-30-2011, 10:38 PM Looks much cleaner without all that wood grain!!
I'm working on blacking out most of mine too.. I've already switched out the lower dash panels and the pillar pcs with ones from an 08 charger that were already black. I still got to paint that one lower piece of the dash that don't come out though..

Yeah it does but I see why I put the woodgrain in. The stock interior is just blah blah blah. Gonna be good when I paint and dye it and have ti done.

Yeah thats the reason I picked my 08 Charger over the rest ALL BLACK INTERIOR PANLES!!! I hate that nasty beige crap. I want to do my headliner and pillars in black cause Dodge just had to keep some of their wonderful beige junk in there lol
Wildbee659 01-31-2011, 12:31 AM Looking good. Can't wait for the finished work.

that's how the Bee was. ALL black except for the trunk. That was an easy fix though:)
NOTPAID4 01-31-2011, 02:50 AM Have to wait and see how this comes out; but I kinda liked the woodgrain. It was pretty "classy"!!!

I did too but its time for a change. I had it for 4 years, it was the first mod I did to the Charger because I absolutely hate the stock interior.

My headrest monitors. They are a close match but not spot on, you cant tell unless you are in inspecting them. See give off grayish hue but that is because of the camera flash.

No problem. They have great prices!
georgiaslim 02-04-2011, 05:23 PM Just ordered SEM Soap, SEM Plastic/vinyl prep, and 2 cans of Landau Black aerosol spray. The landau black is a dead on match to the dark slate of interior. Should receive all materials late next week. I am going to start on the lower panels then move updward. Wish me luck. I bought all the products from:
http://www.vinylprosem.com/store/2175592/?sitecookie=5881d8ebf1cbec9b1ed455616cf4074c
Igolo 02-04-2011, 08:41 PM Good deal!! I've got to get me some coming too.. I've already swapped all the panels I can from an 08 charger, to get the dark slate pieces, now I just need some paint.

What all were you able to change out? A buddy of mine on the Charger Z was able to swap out everything. He definitely searched high and low.
Igolo 02-04-2011, 09:04 PM The lower dash pieces, expect the end by the glove box, that has to be painted. Also the lower pillar pieces and the 4 pieces that run along the doors. Basically I got to paint my door panels and the end of the dash and the pieces in the back and I'm good to go. Not sure if I'm gonna do the door panels or not.. Can't decide if I want to black everything, since that means changing the seats...
georgiaslim 02-04-2011, 09:17 PM Lots of decisions to make I know the feeling
Igolo 02-04-2011, 09:30 PM Yep, always something...lol
georgiaslim 02-08-2011, 01:12 AM Got my paint/dye supplies today. I just ordered them Friday and they are at my doorstep today! Will start with the passenger side lower panels Wednesday morning. Wish me luck!
Igolo 02-08-2011, 01:23 AM Good luck homie!! I need to get my stuff ordered!!
georgiaslim 02-08-2011, 02:06 AM Thanks man. Hopefully this will give anyone on the fence a boost to do theirs if they want to.
Igolo 02-08-2011, 02:19 AM I'm probably gonna be following your lead on this one.. .What are you planning on using for a clear...I've read that sem makes a satin, semi and gloss...
georgiaslim 02-08-2011, 02:28 AM Not for sure yet. Wanna see how it turns out first. If I use a clear coat it is Gonna be satin.
NOTPAID4 02-08-2011, 03:41 AM Very impressive looking leather seat covers Keon; gonna be GREAT when you get everything done! Looking forward to pictures!

Thanks Jim!:smileup::smileup:
georgiaslim 02-09-2011, 09:17 PM Got some stuff started today. I only did a couple pieces on the passenger side and they came out great. They have 3 coats of paint on them. I painted them on my front porch while the sun was beaming. I will do the remainder of the car friday. The panels in the rear I will need to remove the seats to get to those out. I didnt have my mind prep today to do that.
Well here are the pics, one before pic and the rest are after.
Igolo 02-09-2011, 10:05 PM Those look awesome man!! I got to get it in gear and get me an order coming!!
georgiaslim 02-09-2011, 10:07 PM Those look awesome man!! I got to get it in gear and get me an order coming!!
Yeah you do man. This stuff goes on so easy. Just follow the directions and thats it. This stuff isn't runny at all. You spray it on and it sticks. I put on 3 coats and I sprayed on uneven and I cant even tell. It just goes on solid and sticks. I highly recommend SEM.
Igolo 02-09-2011, 10:11 PM Good deal! Definitely on my to do list....lol
Igolo 02-10-2011, 02:19 AM Alright.... I couldn't just watch anymore..lol Just placed my order!!
georgiaslim 02-10-2011, 03:26 AM That's great man. Can't wait to see it!!
Igolo 02-10-2011, 10:59 AM I ordered the same thing you did but I added a can of the low luster clear..figured I'd give it a try before ordering a couple of cans.
georgiaslim 02-10-2011, 01:14 PM I may pick up some low luster clear also. I Just see someone constantly scraping the panels up. You stuff should be to you Friday no later than Saturday. They ship fast and located out of Atlanta.
Igolo 02-10-2011, 01:27 PM It would be sweet if it shows up tomorrow..the wife is not gonna be home tomorrow night, so let the painting begin...lol
I only got the one can of the low luster, I debated between it and the satin gloss, but I was afraid it would still be to shiney..
georgiaslim 02-10-2011, 06:47 PM Stopped by my paint shop today and they are a SEM dealer so I was able to pick up the low luster clear.
Igolo 02-10-2011, 06:50 PM Good deal!! You'll have to let me know what ya think..
georgiaslim 02-10-2011, 06:59 PM Of course, I am gonna wait to clear all pieces at one time.
Igolo 02-10-2011, 07:04 PM I can't wait to get started now...lol
georgiaslim 02-10-2011, 07:06 PM Yeah I am enjoying this project. Its kind of cool to see the pieces getting done and the interior getting a whole new look. I was kind of anxious because the weather sucks so I painted in my house...bad idea. Fumes are annoying ha ha.
Igolo 02-10-2011, 07:08 PM lol...yeah the wife would kill me if I tried that...
georgiaslim 02-10-2011, 07:22 PM Yeah I snook it in before my girlfriend gets home. I placed it outside now, just wanted the first coat or so to dry quickly.
Igolo 02-10-2011, 07:46 PM If you were closer I'd say come on over and we'll get to work, I got a garage to play in....it's got ac but no heat...Can't believe this 30 degree weather we're havin..
georgiaslim 02-10-2011, 07:59 PM Its in the 40's here and it rained bad this morning.
baja73 02-11-2011, 12:21 AM Same weather here i should be outside cleaning the saturday's show. Have you pulled the door panels to paint yet?
georgiaslim 02-11-2011, 12:24 AM Same weather here i should be outside cleaning the saturday's show. Have you pulled the door panels to paint yet?
Gonna do those last. I am gonna have to prep those so I dont spray on the dark slate thats on top of the door panels. I didnt realize I had to take out rear seats to get rear panels out. I also have to disconnect the front and rear seatbelts, but it shouldnt be a huge issue.
baja73 02-11-2011, 12:35 AM I've seen one person that painted his and took the panels apart. They come apart into three peices but then you have to epoxy them back together. I'm thinking about doing mine this month but i'm not sure about that part. And i don't want to copy your work either.
georgiaslim 02-11-2011, 12:37 AM I wouldnt take them apart, no way no how. I have been painting mine on my front porch and they have came out great.
baja73 02-11-2011, 01:06 AM I have a shop to paint in so that helps. After this weekends show i might start on my door panels.

georgiaslim 02-11-2011, 06:29 PM Ran into a couple of issues. The panel that houses the front seat belts, I have no idea how to get those off so I may just wrap those with black seude of neffy wrap. The 2nd thing is part of the glove box (not really part of it) but the farthest right corner is part of the dash not the glove box. I am more than likely going to have to tape off the area around it and paint from within the car. that will be the last thing I do.
Igolo 02-11-2011, 07:53 PM You are correct about the end of the dash...you have to paint it in spot. It's the only part of my dash that's not dark slate yet, since I got the charger panels in mine. It will be my first or second thing I paint..
It's looking good man!!

It's looking good man!!
Thanks. Should have everything back in place Tuesday.
john_P 02-11-2011, 09:35 PM i am removing all my graphite and adding wood grain.. but yours does look great..
georgiaslim 02-11-2011, 09:39 PM I miss my woodgrain ha ha. It was just time for a change. I had the wood on for 4 years and it was great. Then for some odd reason I wanted to black it all out haha.
Igolo 02-11-2011, 11:07 PM Got my paint today, so maybe I'll get to start this weekend!!
georgiaslim 02-11-2011, 11:09 PM Got my paint today, so maybe I'll get to start this weekend!!
Cool, let me know if you have any questions. What all did you buy?
Igolo 02-11-2011, 11:33 PM Exact same order as you, just added a can of the low luster.. Now got to figure out how to use it all..lol Did you use any adhesion premotor??
georgiaslim 02-11-2011, 11:42 PM I didnt use any but probably should have. This stuff sticks pretty good, I have been putting on coats out in the cold and its coming out pretty good. Just wish I had a warm spot to paint. Putting final touches on the last pieces!!
Igolo 02-11-2011, 11:54 PM Maybe I'll try some on a small piece... I want this stuff to stick..lol
georgiaslim 02-11-2011, 11:55 PM Yeah it will, definitely wont hurt to have the promoter. I honestly thought the vinyl prep was the promoter. Its been working great so far. I will post of pics of all the pieces painted tonight.
georgiaslim 02-12-2011, 11:16 PM Just an update"
I will be spraying the panels with the low luster clear coat tomorrow. Not for sure how many coats yet, but as many as 2 and not more than 4. One of the panels I need to repaint but will do that Tuesday and everything should be back in the car by Wednesday.
I still have the passenger side dash (glovebox) to paint but since it is attached to the dash I will spray paint that in the car. I will probably start that late next week or the following week. The front seatbelt panels I have to get a price to wrap them in seude. If the price is too high I will also paint those within the car and those should be done the week of the 21st.
I still have to clean the dash where the adhesive from the woodgrain was. I will start this before I install any of the panels to make sure every looks good. Will have pics tomorrow after clear coat.
Igolo 02-12-2011, 11:41 PM Sounds like your on track! I didn't get much time today to mess with mine, but I did get time to do a test piece. It looks great!! I hadn't cleared it yet but I will tomorrow, if it continues to look this good I'm gonna get busy!!!

georgiaslim 02-12-2011, 11:48 PM Yes sir ya did and thanks for telling me!! I need to take some pics..lol
Yes you do...pics pics pics
georgiaslim 02-13-2011, 03:07 PM Well just put first coat of clear on the panels. Everything looks good so far, I have to repaint the glovebox over, some white flakes or something fell in between paint and the clear.
Looks like 3 coats should be enough.
georgiaslim 02-14-2011, 09:24 PM Here are the instructions if anyone wants to give it a go:

Which part are you haveing trouble taking off? The top piece or the bottom?
georgiaslim 02-14-2011, 11:51 PM Which part are you haveing trouble taking off? The top piece or the bottom?
The panels that house the seatbelts for the driver and passenger. just behind front doors.
georgiaslim 02-14-2011, 11:53 PM Which part are you haveing trouble taking off? The top piece or the bottom?
bottom half, but I am just gonna paint them in in place.
baja73 02-15-2011, 12:01 AM I was looking at it yesterday and think i know how to get that off. I'll work on it some afterwork tomorrow and post up some pics if you want to try pulling it off.
georgiaslim 02-15-2011, 12:09 AM That would be great. let me know what you come up with. I removed the bottom screws but that didnt do too much. Did you do any other painting today?
baja73 02-15-2011, 12:10 AM Nothing today. I played soccer with my son and now don't feel like going out to the shop.
baja73 02-15-2011, 12:12 AM That would be great. let me know what you come up with. I removed the bottom screws but that didnt do too much. Did you do any other painting today?
Did you see the two screw's at the top? I think after pulling all four screws it will pull out like the other panels.
georgiaslim 02-15-2011, 12:12 AM I understand that. Tomorrow gonna be a busy day for me, doing some repaint, clear coat, and installing tomorrow. Plus I need to clean out my car inside and out.
georgiaslim 02-15-2011, 12:12 AM Did you see the two screw's at the top? I think after pulling all four screws it will pull out like the other panels.
Nah didnt notice them.
baja73 02-15-2011, 12:21 AM Just went out and messed with the panel. I think it will just pop off after the four screws are out. The top two are behind the belt.
Igolo 02-15-2011, 12:28 AM Just went out and messed with the panel. I think it will just pop off after the four screws are out. The top two are behind the belt.
You are correct sir...You'll have to pry just a little, it wraps around and fits into place, but it's just the 4 screws holding it..
georgiaslim 02-15-2011, 01:29 AM Cool I will check it out tomorrow
georgiaslim 02-15-2011, 03:37 PM Got some more pieces out today. Thanks to Baja73 on the tip for removing the front seatbelt panels. Here are the pics I took coming straight out of the car.
BigJuice55 02-15-2011, 03:49 PM That's gonna look badass man. How much have you invested in materials for this? I want to do this but am just worried about how durable it is.
georgiaslim 02-15-2011, 04:31 PM That's gonna look badass man. How much have you invested in materials for this? I want to do this but am just worried about how durable it is.
About $70 in so far. Its looking great, most parts should be pretty durable but the foot panels are gonna take a beating...really nothing you can do about that.
Deathstar 02-15-2011, 05:30 PM Looking good! I'm about half way there too. Can't wait to see your finished pics.
georgiaslim 02-15-2011, 05:34 PM Looking good! I'm about half way there too. Can't wait to see your finished pics.
Thats great. I should have installed pics in the next few days.
georgiaslim 02-15-2011, 07:42 PM More pics, painted and all will be installed tomorrow!:kap:
baja73 02-15-2011, 07:47 PM Looks sweet. I can't wait to see it done.
georgiaslim 02-15-2011, 07:48 PM Yeah I am gonna let it sit inside the house overnight and install in the morning. I cant wait.
Igolo 02-15-2011, 07:53 PM Looking good man!! I've been trying to get a piece done every day, it's slow but at least I'm getting there..lol If your gonna paint that ashtray and the surround be careful, I found out the hardway it has a rubberized coating on it..
georgiaslim 02-15-2011, 08:00 PM Looking good man!! I've been trying to get a piece done every day, it's slow but at least I'm getting there..lol If your gonna paint that ashtray and the surround be careful, I found out the hardway it has a rubberized coating on it..
Yeah actually the piece of the dash I was having issues with I was able to sand it down and clean it up to where the adhesive is unnoticable. The ashtray, well lets just say I am gonna have to buy a new one ha ha. Not because of the paint but simply because of the woodgrain adhesive that was on there.
Igolo 02-15-2011, 08:18 PM Can you save the side pieces of the ashtray?? The astray door is a cover that just pops off and I think I have an extra door laying around. I might have the whole thing, not sure. I'll look tonight and see what I have though.
georgiaslim 02-15-2011, 08:20 PM Yes please check for me. Yeah I can save the sides!!!
Igolo 02-15-2011, 08:32 PM Ok, no problem.. I'll be out in the shop tonight so I'll take a look, pretty sure I got on for ya..
georgiaslim 02-15-2011, 10:47 PM 16 pieces painted and was it fun hell yea!!! Install tomorrow moring. 3 coats of color and 3 coats of low luster clear coat
Igolo 02-15-2011, 10:55 PM Dang, I'm 5 pieces in, but I had a head start on ya...lol I looked for the ashtray door and the only on I got is out of a 300, has the chrome strip in it and I can't find the freakin chrome strip... Sorry bro..
georgiaslim 02-15-2011, 10:58 PM No worries its all good. I will figure something out. I plan on hitting up a few junkyards over the next few weeks.
baja73 02-15-2011, 11:54 PM How many cans of paint have you used so far? It's looking good i'll be waiting on those installed pics. Now are you going to do the door panels too?
georgiaslim 02-16-2011, 12:01 AM I have only used 3 cans so far. Yep starting door panels next Tuesday and Im going to begin with the rear. FOr those I am going to use the adhesion promoter and use alot of coats of paint and clear for those, since they will be getting a lot of wear.
georgiaslim 02-16-2011, 04:15 PM Just finished the install. I love how everything looks.
georgiaslim 02-16-2011, 04:23 PM A few more pics.........
Igolo 02-16-2011, 04:56 PM Looking good man!!! That freakin end piece of the dash...lol I still got to paint that part too. I
georgiaslim 02-16-2011, 05:17 PM Yeah i think im gonna get the brush paint and use that. I dont want spray it.
Igolo 02-16-2011, 05:27 PM Didn't know they even had a brush type.. I think I'll stick to spray, just gonna have to type everything off real good..
georgiaslim 02-16-2011, 05:30 PM Yeah they have both. I may test the spray but if it feels like its going everywhere I will dial it back and use brush paint.
Igolo 02-16-2011, 05:34 PM I can't get over how much stuff you can paint with one can. I've done 5 things so far and one is pretty good size, and I'm only through half a can.
georgiaslim 02-16-2011, 05:37 PM Those seat belt panels eat paint.....It takes alot of paint to cover those. But yea these cans cover alot. I have only used 3 cans for all the stuff I just completed.
Igolo 02-16-2011, 05:51 PM My seat belt panels are already black but the 2 big pieces in the back of my mag is gonna be the real killer, they are huge..lol
georgiaslim 02-16-2011, 05:52 PM Thats right.....yeah I was looking at a Magnum last night and yes those rear pieces are huge!!!!!!!!
georgiaslim 02-22-2011, 04:39 PM Rear door panels are out. Waiting for some supplies to arrive today.
Igolo 02-22-2011, 04:46 PM I feel ya, been waiting on supplies since last friday..lol
georgiaslim 02-22-2011, 06:01 PM Yeah the sand free and triple xxx adhesion promoter just arrived! I am tired as hell now. I will probably wash panels tonight and start painting tomorrow morning before the pollen starts falling.
Igolo 02-22-2011, 06:11 PM I hadn't tried the sand free...but I've got one of their promoter's one order, hopefully it will arrive today. Then it's on to the panels..
Are you going to do the headliner and the piller post pieces? I think I'm gonna leave mine or just go to a darker gray..
georgiaslim 02-22-2011, 06:16 PM I hadn't tried the sand free...but I've got one of their promoter's one order, hopefully it will arrive today. Then it's on to the panels..
Are you going to do the headliner and the piller post pieces? I think I'm gonna leave mine or just go to a darker gray..
Im going to do all seude (black) on the headliner and pillars. It will be done right before Gatty or immediately after. I just wanted to do the paint work myself. The headliner with pillars gonna run me around $600
Igolo 02-22-2011, 06:33 PM I got ya... I'm just afraid it will be to dark if I do the headliner in mine along with everything else, plus I got enough to do without messing with it...lol
georgiaslim 02-22-2011, 06:34 PM Yeah its definitely dark now. thats why I need some LED's as running lights especially at nigh.
georgiaslim 02-22-2011, 07:37 PM Just quoted $500 to install my leather covers...I think I will just dive head first and try to do them myself. I was looking at around $250-$300 for install. Just sucks...kinda bombed right now.
Igolo 02-22-2011, 07:42 PM Yeah but if you can get it done, that will pay for your headliner... Plus if you don't do anything but get your old covers off it will probably save ya a few bucks, but I think you can handle it.
georgiaslim 02-22-2011, 07:44 PM Yeah gonna start after door panels...next week. Start with the rear and go from there. Awwwwwwwwwww, was looking at doing those but no time like the present.
georgiaslim 02-23-2011, 07:49 PM http://a4.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc6/183072_1297358329909_1708912797_540146_1527502_n.j pg

6 coats...isnt she pretty. I would clear it in a few days!!!!
Igolo 02-23-2011, 07:58 PM Those look freakin perfect!!! I gotta get busy..lol
Igolo 02-23-2011, 07:59 PM Were you able to get down in the pocket good??
georgiaslim 02-23-2011, 08:02 PM Yeah I got in the pocket fairly easy. I will probably in the next few days get in their better just in case.
georgiaslim 02-23-2011, 08:03 PM Oh yeah the top half isnt painted and its pretty much a dead on match.
Igolo 02-23-2011, 08:20 PM Yeah the end of my dash blends nicely, and the pieces I did in the rear go right beside some oem black pieces and you really can't tell a difference. Can't wait to get my panels done..then the seats...lol
georgiaslim 02-23-2011, 08:23 PM By far the door panels are the best improvement so far. I used the xxx adhesive promoter on those. 12 coats for both panels and still have a little bit of paint left in one can!
Igolo 02-23-2011, 08:45 PM I got my stuff in yesterday, I got the other plastic promoter they had..it said you could use either one so should be good to go..
What are you going to do with the push pins? Paint or order the black ones?
georgiaslim 02-23-2011, 08:52 PM Yeah I didnt know til after the fact it was either or ha ha.
I have to replace about 5 push pins because I read the directions wrong. I didnt know I was only suppose to push half way then pull out. I will paint the beige ones I saved though.
Igolo 02-23-2011, 08:55 PM I've had my panels off several times and I always push them all the way through, they still hold just fine, you just have to find the freakin pieces in the door when ya get the panel off..lol
georgiaslim 02-23-2011, 08:58 PM Yeah I just dont want them holes showing ha ha.
Igolo 02-23-2011, 09:00 PM There won't be any holes... You just put the outside piece back in and then push the center piece back in and it's good as new..
georgiaslim 02-23-2011, 09:02 PM Ok cool, got ya.
KrazyPumpkinManR/T 02-23-2011, 09:05 PM That came out nice man!!!
georgiaslim 02-23-2011, 09:07 PM That came out nice man!!!
Thanks bro, still have alot to do.
KrazyPumpkinManR/T 02-23-2011, 09:17 PM I re did mines in red and black... I put it back on the dash, but the car is on the shop getting some paint work done.... I want to change the color of my seats but concerned because I paid all that money for silver head rests... So I'm just going to go with grey seats. check out the font panel. http://i117.photobucket.com/albums/o66/kaw228/163450_10150346466555538_597470537_15963588_250122 _n.jpg But I did more work and changed the gauge area to this http://i117.photobucket.com/albums/o66/kaw228/180820_10150402992250538_597470537_16990012_689009 0_n.jpg
georgiaslim 02-23-2011, 10:27 PM Damn you took out the whole console. I like that. I am gonna throw some green in the mix, but it wont be til after I have all the black completed. Your setup is looking great!
Igolo 02-24-2011, 12:52 AM Got my rear panels out today and taken apart but that's as far as I got, hopefully I can start prep tomorrow..gotta figure out how I'm gonna tape off the top.
georgiaslim 02-24-2011, 12:55 AM Man I tried to tape off the top but nothing worked, so I didnt tape it off and it got some overspray but I was able to clean it off easily. I only covered the handle as you see in the pics.
Igolo 02-24-2011, 01:05 AM Yeah, I figure it's gonna be a pain...lol
KrazyPumpkinManR/T 02-24-2011, 01:07 AM Your setup coming out nice too.... I will send you more pic once the car is out of the body shop. Getting some exterior painting done.
georgiaslim 02-24-2011, 01:14 AM Yeah, I figure it's gonna be a pain...lol
Hell yeah ha ha

What ya up to now?? lol
KrazyPumpkinManR/T 02-24-2011, 01:31 AM What ya up to now?? lol
Its a surprise :) There is something else I want to do, but not sure if it will look right.. All I can say is it's currently on the 2011 Dodge truck. I was also thinking about changing my front end, but the bumper painted is over $1000.00. So i'm thinking of just getting a bigger lip and having it painted the color of the car.
What do you guys think?
Igolo 02-24-2011, 01:41 AM What lip you running now? Does Danko make one for the charger?
KrazyPumpkinManR/T 02-24-2011, 01:42 AM I have the Daytona one... I want the one thats bigger.
KrazyPumpkinManR/T 02-24-2011, 01:45 AM I want one like this
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2006-2010-Dodge-Charger-Daytona-Front-Lip-Duraflex-/160536249341?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&fits=Make%3ADodge%7CModel%3ACharger&hash=item2560b4c3fd
georgiaslim 02-24-2011, 01:47 AM Yea I think Im gonna get the Daytona one. I dont want to spend the coin on a Danko. I can get a Daytona chin spoiler for $89.
Igolo 02-24-2011, 01:49 AM I like the big one! It looks mean as he!!...
I need a Daytona one to, for my chargum project..
KrazyPumpkinManR/T 02-24-2011, 01:51 AM man when i upgrade u can get mines..
Igolo 02-24-2011, 01:55 AM Cool, I'm in no hurry... I'm down to needing the lip, fogs, and the dreaded fenders...
I got a Daytona front fascia but it didn't have the lip on it when I got it..
KrazyPumpkinManR/T 02-24-2011, 01:59 AM When I get the Durafex one u can have mines... just pay for shipping.
Igolo 02-24-2011, 02:08 AM Sweet deal!! Thanks man! That's another piece of the puzzle.. Hopefully I'll be coming up your way some this summer.. You gonna make Gatty?
KrazyPumpkinManR/T 02-24-2011, 02:09 AM Fa sho!! thats why all the mods are happening lol
Igolo 02-24-2011, 02:10 AM Cool deal!! I feel ya, I'm trying to get the mag in shape..lol
Igolo 02-24-2011, 02:11 AM Ya'll should roll down here the end of April for the Mopars at the battleship..
georgiaslim 02-28-2011, 02:24 PM Ya'll should roll down here the end of April for the Mopars at the battleship..
I would if I had the budget for it. I know its a good time!
georgiaslim 02-28-2011, 02:53 PM Rear door panels installed. I like how they came out. I probably wont put as many coats of clear on the front. Even though its a low luster clear, it still gave them lots of shine. I am happy with the outcome still. Hard to take good pic, sun was bright as hell just now.

I understand that one...I'm still working to pull off Gatty..Might have to sleep in the mag...lol
The rear door panels look good!! I got all mine done and back in the car this weekend. Now to figure out the seat thing..lol
georgiaslim 03-08-2011, 06:16 PM Finally done with the lower portion of the car. Everything is blacked out that is paintable. New seats going in next week. To think I only spent $123 to have a new interior. Im no pro so I still have a few spots to touch up but for this being my first time do anything this extensive I am very happy. I want to thank NJSE (Chargerforumz), Bontebok (Chargerforumz), Baja73, and Igolo for all their support and inspiration. Here are some final pics.
Deathstar 03-08-2011, 07:20 PM Looking Good!!! I'm about to do my door panels as well, any tips?
Igolo 03-08-2011, 07:21 PM Glad to see you got her all back together!! I'm still trying to figure out what to do with my seats, can't wait to see yours with the new covers on!
georgiaslim 03-08-2011, 07:31 PM Looking Good!!! I'm about to do my door panels as well, any tips?
Just take your time and dont rush it. Its really simple. The hardest part is putting the panels back on without scratching them up. If you have a garage it makes it more easy. I had to paint in the elements so some days sucked and I had to wait.
georgiaslim 03-08-2011, 07:31 PM Glad to see you got her all back together!! I'm still trying to figure out what to do with my seats, can't wait to see yours with the new covers on!
I cant wait either. Gonna schedule appointment for next week.
Deathstar 03-09-2011, 10:03 PM did you paint your door pulls too? I have done everything except the door panels because I didn't know what I wanted to do with them. I might wrap them in leather, but if they come out ok just painted I might go that way too.
georgiaslim 03-09-2011, 10:18 PM Yeah I painted the door pulls and they look good. Not for sure how the paint will hold up over time when the opening and closing but so far so good.
georgiaslim 03-15-2011, 07:56 PM New phase of the blackout.

georgiaslim 06-04-2011, 07:48 PM Okay, sorry for the delay. I will start laying the black suede today and should have some pics up tomorrow. Gonna start with the front pillars first.

Deathstar 06-10-2011, 08:28 PM Those came out awesome! I was thinking of doing mine with the same black leather I did everything else with, but I wasn't sure how they would look dark. I really like it! Now I'm doing it! Congrats man! Your car is looking great!
georgiaslim 06-10-2011, 08:31 PM Thanks boss. I cant believe how it is. Took me about 20 minutes to do on the 2nd one. The adhesive works great and is very forgiving.
RACERAM9 06-10-2011, 11:02 PM looking awesome Keon
georgiaslim 06-10-2011, 11:25 PM Thanks brother. Its getting there.
