Here's a pic of my Det Yellow with the new Fiberglass Hood I bought this fall. It's a six pack hood, and the scoop is smaller than that Super Stock hood.

Had it painted in "Rat Rod" acrylic enamel. No cover right now on the scoop, but I have some plans for that.

It's not a full functional scoop (obviously). I'd like to make it feed the throttle body, but that will probably take some serious crafting, something Im not up to. Im hoping when Dodge starts selling the lower piece to make the TA hood functional, that MAYBE, just MAYBE, that piece will work with minor mods for me.

Fit of the hood was really good overall. I did have to remove the weatherstripping from the cowl area.. it was pushing up the cowl edge of the hood. Gonna figure something out for that.

Had a helluva time with the Mr Norms hood pins. Significant grinding on the bottom side of the radiator cover/cup holders as it was hitting the hood. Still have one spot that hits on each side, so I put a small piece of black felt on it.

Overall very happy with the hood. Haven't seen anyone else with one yet, so that makes me even more happy!

No, got it from American Sports Car Design (actually Stinger fiberglas). Saw it at the Mopars at Big Daddy's show and bought it the next week. Took a while to get it painted etc...

Thanks guys... Just trying to do something different for the car show season this year.

I have a plan for the underside of the hood, as well as the hood scoop area. Hope to have the hood scoop area done in a couple weeks.

Got the hood from a Vendor at Mopars at Big Daddy's. Took his card, did some research, and decided to take a shot. I was worried after I bought it, because I thought the scoop might be too large for me. Seeing pictures of Mr Norm's SuperStock hood, and remembering this guy said he was working with Mr Norms and I thought.. great, I just bought a SS hood with a scoop you could stuff a deer into.

Obviously not that big. It is a different perspective behind the wheel, but not overbearing and more importantly, the wife thinks it looks badass. She was not keen on painting it black, and I told her to trust me, but she wasn't buying it until I was done. Now she's onboard and I think actually likes the car better now than my first one with the flames. She won't admit it though.
