Well today i decided to change the oil on my super SE! first time doing it (on the charger), i thought it would be nice to take some pics and do some kind of write up, i know is just an oil change but some people just dont feel comfortable doing mechanical work on their vehicle. The reason why i did it myself was basically because i could choose my oil, because if you go to this oil change places you have no idea what you are getting and also why not save a few bucks!

1. lift your vehicle and please use stands, do not rely on your jack! use your jacking points.

2. Make sure you place your jacks on the frame and not on any suspension components (not realiable)

Jack it enough so you feel comfortable working underneath, one thing dont forget to apply the e-brake and choke your rear wheels.

3. unsrew that piece of plastic right under your engine, 4 10mil bolts are holding it

4. now your drain plug and oil filter will be exposed.

5. unscrew your filter and the drain plug, now just let it drain for good 20 minutes.

6. before you set the new filter in place, put some oil on the gasket so it will fit nicely and secure, do not over tighten it.

7. screw back your drain plug, do not overthighten this one either.

8. pour your oil, aditive or what you like on it...

9. check for any leaks, start it up, let it run for a couple of minutes, put everything back together and good to go!

I hope it helps!

Great write up man.........

X2 Renato!!!!!! I always do it myself. I used mobil 1 synthetic last time and next I intend on RP! The Hemi's are very specific for the oil they use!
