Hey guys, I was thinkin bout having a M&G for us New Orleans Chapter members. I was thinkin maybe next Saturday or Sunday the 18th or 19th. Who all is down for this, give me some feedback if you think we need a different day and also some ideas where. Of course, there is Hooters and the Lakefront, but wherever is good for me. Also, I know I said for us N.O. members but of course, any DSM member is invited.

UPDATE... The confirmed time and date is Saturday, July 18th at 4 o'clock in the parkin lot across the street from Landry's Seafood.

Just letting everyone know that as far as I'm concerned, this M&G is still on. The weather channel has It at a 30% chance of rain. As long as the whole sky ain't black with rain and clouds, i'll be there. If It is raining and It stop at 5, i'll be there then. The girlfriend has work, that is why It seems like I have no life. lol

My bad fellaz! I was actually working on my car today. Had to redo some rear suspention.Trying to line up rear suspention bolt to put spring back on was a b@@$$ . I'm good now ready to roll tonight!

The shop I work at is in New Orleans, but being that I am a delivery driver / site worker, I am in Harahan all the time picking up parts n stuff

We might want to wait a week to give more folks a chance to line it up and get the word out. Gives us a chance to scout out some locations. Some initial thoughts:

Lakefront - Lakeshore drive is great, might just have to look on down a bit.
City Park - Not sure where a good spot would be, but there's definitely shade!
Lafreniere Park - Not sure what kind of rules they might throw at us
Williams Boat Launch - Big Easy Mopars does their shows there, it could be a bit crowded.
Riverview Park - Behind Audubon Zoo - I'm not sure if the name is right, but the park behind the zoo is very cool scenery, but a bit off the beaten path so it doesn't give us a chance to show the cars off to the world.

The Hooters here just doesn't have the parking area like Biloxi so I don't know if they are an option in Metairie, Gretna (Belle Chase Hwy)may be an option, but could be a pain to get to for anyone coming in from the coast.

Pit Stop Bar on Jefferson Hwy - They have Bike Night on Wednesdays and I think they do cars on Saturday Night. I can stop by and talk to them. They host these type of things frequently. I have been in there and it's definitely a car oriented bar.

I understand what your sayin, my though was that my girlfriend works on saturday nights, so really i have nothin to do. I guess what I was trin to say is that i'm game for havin like a weekly meet. Saturday night, we all get together shoot the poop. That way, those who make it, do, and those who can't, make it next week. For the time being, we can go to different stops, find a place we like, and make that our "SPOT"

I am fishing in Cocodrie on Sat morning. If I get back in time, I will try to stop by. Will likely have to take the wife to dinner (makes the fishing trip easier to sell).
