View Full Version : Need votes, ordering today! Which wheel for my Ram R/T?
chithead 08-25-2010, 01:23 PM Well, hopefully ordering today, if the wife doesn't change her mind again. :D:D:D
Looking at two options that fit the price range I want to pay, and the style I actually like. Curious though what members here think of each, which they prefer, which wheel would make most sense from an everyday driver viewpoint, which would stand out the most... blah blah blah.
Won't go into too many details about them, but I will say there will be some small graphics going on the truck. So the color of the wheel will determine what color the graphics will be.
Option #1:
SRT-10 replica in gunmetal grey finish, 42.5 lbs.

Here's a quick photoshop with them on a similar Ram R/T:

NOTPAID4 08-25-2010, 01:47 PM Both are really nice; but I'm a 5 star kind of guy!
FRESH4849 08-25-2010, 01:55 PM I LOVE VIPERS!!!! BUT I think the Boss wheels look a lot better on your truck.
Utopiapga 08-25-2010, 02:20 PM No offense Chris but Vipers are SO over done!
I love the Black and Chrome Boss 5 Spokes!!!!!!
chithead 08-25-2010, 04:20 PM Well the wife has decided on the SRT-10 wheels...
I did worry that the Boss 335 wouldn't hold up to every day driving being there is so much space between the spokes.
shane93nc 08-25-2010, 06:14 PM For me it would depend on the size you are going with. For a 22 or smaller I would go with the Boss and a 24 then I would go with the Vipers. I haven thinking about going with the Boss 335 myself.
supabusa 08-25-2010, 06:38 PM Viper for the Win. I love those wheels on those trucks. Every body has 5 stars/spokes. I am a huge fan of the SRT10 trucks. JMO
You couldn't make the wrong choice with those two anyway.
FRESH4849 08-25-2010, 07:13 PM No offense Chris but Vipers are SO over done!
I love the Black and Chrome Boss 5 Spokes!!!!!!
I will agree with you, I got mine cause they are just what I could afford and I loved them. My dream wheel would be a set of staggered 22" KMC Nova's. One day, one day....
chithead 08-25-2010, 07:27 PM Man them Nova's are nice. I remember seeing the predecessor made by Hot Wheels on the Oakley Dodge Ram back in 2005, now those truly were some hot looking wheels!
Here's a if anyone wants to see a fat lipped 24" :

DANG!!!! That is a sick wheel and truck!!!! Awesome link
TopB2972 08-25-2010, 10:48 PM I'd Go with the Boss wheels they look "Boss Man" guess I just showed my age. LOL They look great on the truck
NOTPAID4 08-25-2010, 11:41 PM Oh man; those are HOT!!! Wow, huge lip on those!
D-LASH 08-27-2010, 12:02 PM hmm....I'm gonna go with what Shanes saying..... vipers in 24s boss in 22s. That gun metal is nice but I cant turn down a deep lip n black 5 star!! (found a set on craigslist with a wrong number for cheap 20s, err... http://winstonsalem.craigslist.org/pts/1918258998.html )
BTW them 'hot wheels' are awsome with the flat black!
georgiaslim 08-27-2010, 01:48 PM Vipers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
FRESH4849 08-27-2010, 02:33 PM Have you made a decision yet? You have one helluva hard choice. Both would be freaking sweet!
chithead 08-27-2010, 04:23 PM Ordered the SRT-10 wheels Wednesday, should have updated pics in about two weeks.
Thanks for everyone's opinion!

SICK!!! I cant wait to see them on the truck!
Chithead i had no idea that was you at the petty garage sat.I like your R/T truck.I say go with the Boss rims they look great on your ride. The vipers look good but there was a bunch of them at the shindig.
mclarengts 08-28-2010, 07:35 AM :popc1:...........
JHEMI RAY 09-10-2010, 07:33 PM Just my two cents, but I'm a 5 Star guy myself. The Vipers are overdone, but I guess they all are huh?! I would go with the Boss. The combination with the lip and the paint is what makes them unique on your truck...especailly if they come with the big brakes shown in your photoshop version!!!
I went with Foose, and they too where overdone for awhile, but then I found the LEGENDS. Big lip and nice paint in a 5 star config...and check out how the lip never ends...
A lot of opinions to consider here...just do what turns you on!
chithead 09-10-2010, 11:30 PM Those Foose Legends are definitely nice.
The SRT-10 wheels did arrive, just waiting on the sensors to get here and a few other details.
Midnight Rider 09-11-2010, 12:15 AM wow, how did i miss this thread!!
i would have voted for the Boss also, im not a black wheel man myself, but if there is enough chrome like those, then i would have done that.....BUT
those viper wheels are gonna look sooooo sweeeeet on your R/T!! cant wait to see the graphics that go along with them!!!
Texasfinest 09-11-2010, 10:25 AM What size did you go with after all???
chithead 09-11-2010, 01:38 PM Went with the 22" SRT-10 from OE Wheels LLC - they had the best price I could find.
Already had a set of 305/45R22 Falken Ziex tires that were purchased three months ago.
chithead 09-11-2010, 01:44 PM I could at least show the rims off - didn't mean to leave anyone hanging! They are darker than what I thought they would be, but that's a good thing in my opinion!

Looks great. Good timing.
chithead 10-10-2010, 12:25 PM I do need to lower it that's for sure. Found out BellTech is making a kit for them now with a heavier rear anti-sway bar. Could be next on the list...
