Have anyone done a DSM sponsored car show in your respective areas? I'd like to drum up more membership first, but I was thinking about trying to do something like that around here.

My first thought is that a Chrysler dealership would possibly jump on this. If you had a Mopar show, they provide the space on their lot. That would bring in customers. Not only would the people coming to the show possibly look at what is for sale on the lot, they also get to see all the possibilities based on the cars entered into the show. I imagine it is possible to get the dealership to foot the bill as long as you can give them a solid presentation on the show and perhaps grab some other sponsors, such as a radio station. At the very least they might pay for advertising the show. I did some looking around at local shows in the area. I saw that a Mustang Club in Houston did a show in association with one of their Hooters restuarants. There was a show open to all kinds of cars. Hooters girls washed cars for a fee, along with there being an entry fee. They provided $2 long necks. And the proceeds went towards breast cancer research. You could probably drum up support like that if it involves charity and showing the business in a good light. Just some ideas I've had or things I've seen being done that got me thinking. Everything you said sounds awesome but for some reason those bold words jumped out at me, not sure why.... Joker 06-20-2009, 02:32 PM Just keep in mind even though the Hooters Girls washed the cars for free. (meaning the car owner did not pay them to wash his car) rest assured the sponsor of the event paid the girls for thier time. weezerzeke 06-21-2009, 12:03 AM Just keep in mind even though the Hooters Girls washed the cars for free. It's possible that Hooters considered the amount of business having the show on their lot would bring. But I might contact that car club and see if they'll give me information on how they set it up. I'll probably, though, be approaching the car lot deal first. That one seems easier to set up and there are several Chrysler lots in the area, so if one doesn't bite we can approach the next one. Joker 06-21-2009, 12:58 AM Sounds like a plan, let us know how it goes Brother OverCharged 06-21-2009, 01:42 AM ya, we havent done anything like this yet, but we are still a newer club. weezerzeke 06-21-2009, 02:49 AM I'm going to bolster the chapter's membership a little before I really try anything. But I want to come up with some kind of plan before I approach anyone. patrick2164 06-21-2009, 06:53 PM sounds like a plan vBulletin® v3.8.4, Copyright ©2000-2012, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
