I've had my engine covers for months and not really having the money to have them painted, I painted them myself and they really didn't come out that good. Stripped them down and started again and was still having the same problem... so I finally gave up, stripped them a second time and started saving to have someone paint them that knew what they were doing. (I have NOW given up my painting career ~ LOL~)

Finally I saved the money and dropped them off to a local body shop and have them painted orange.... while picking a color I noticed he had some paint cards with small metal flakes in them and he said that's no problem it cost the same. So I ended up picking out some dark orange with gold small flakes. I love the look!!!

Put 'em on yesterday and went to a local cruise in and got a lot of nice comments... Makes it all worth while. NOW... wish we had a show to go to and show 'em off!!!

It looks quite nice, except my monitor looks red and not orange, regardless though, it looks mighty fine.

Yeah, I noticed they do look RED in the pictures but they are orange and a dark orange at that!

I just used the plastic wire looms... the only colors I had were yellow and black.... the black didn't really stand out, so I used yellow, just to be a little different! And it matched the top of the dip stick tube.

I had thought about going to our local cruise in at Sonic Burgers tonight, but the temp right now is 105.8... too hot to sit around with the cars!!! Whew!
