I wish I was closer, Pilot Mountain is beautiful and the views from up there are awesome. I lived in Clemmons, NC before moving to FL and my son still lives in Clemmons, I'll let him know.

I might just be making some plans for that. Heard people say its great but never had the chance to go.

dang didnt see this thread until today. we went up to mt airy and pilot moutain state park and took some pics. i had read about the car show but we didnt go. really wish i had seen this thread and might have gone.

I would be interested in doing the ride up there in Oct

It's not my thing. It is a neat thing to walk through, but not the type of deal I enjoy. Parking is impossible. These people get there at 12 for a 5pm cruise. Parking is impossible to find. I prefer going into a huge lot, simple parking and everything in one area. There are cars everywhere. I'm not one to put a lawn chair near my car and have people come up to me that way. Just not that type of guy. Lots of nice cars, lots of drivers and lots of random stuff.

I think it is a great time. Just like everything else we do, everything is not for everyone. I had my 9sec street car up there for the first cruise in May and had a blast. I am taking it back up for the August one if all works out.
