cruising back from tennessee last sunday, a 3 foot steel angle iron apparently from a rig, managed to get injected into my gas tank.it went in the bottom and lodged to where it was 2 inches from the pavement.and yes i just filled up.there is no protection under there.the tank is plastic and should have something to protect it. after 4 days of set backs, i managed to make it back to river ridge in record time. and geico came through big time and covered the 300.00 towing bill.

Sorry to hear that. At least it's an easy one to fix! Well sort of , I think the entire suspension has to come out to get the saddle tank out. Good chance to upgrade!

the fuel pump had to get replaced also.that set me back another day.we talked about it ahead of time.you'd think they would have that ready "just in case".

Yikes man, that sucks but glad to hear you got taken care of and made it home! I agree though, the plastic tanks do need more protection!
