Hello Everyone!!! Ok so this next mod is a REALLY BIG one. Im starting to save now cause its gonna take a bit. Are you ready to know?!...............
........
..........
.............
Im planning on doing a 3.5 to 5.7 motor swap!!! I am in the process now of gathering the info I need along with the parts list so I can begin collecting what I need. Im talking to a fellow Custommagnums.com member who did a 3.5 to complete SRT swap! The guy did the swap and tuning all himself. I will tackle the swap myself with help from my dad. I believe we are going to make this a father son project seeing that he has given me the "OK!" LMAO Im also going to see if maybe I can get a sponsorship through my moms dealership who already supplies me with all my parts. Im going to make my own Daytona Edition Magnum #001 of 1  gonna look into getting the factory decals also. A lot to chew but over time it will be completed!

I will also be taken DONATIONS!!! LMFAO :Na_Na_Na_Na:

If anyone here has any info on this swap please feel free to post, it would be much appreciated!

Now time to find a good job and get to work!
Thanks for listening!

What are you asking for? Also need Year, Mileage, etc. Send me a PM. Mines almost paid for so I think this would be cheaper and more fun, a true mod

UNBELIEVABLE!!!!!! I was going to be the smartass that I am and say why don't you just buy a R/T it would be easier....

But since you told Shane T. your reasoning I completely understand now, paid off is going to be AWESOME and plus you will have one of a kind.

I look forward to watching the Maggie grow into a Daytona Magnum R/T....

Thanks! I talked to my Dad today and he told me to get the parts list going and plan out what I need. I think Im starting out with finding an R/T Brake Kit off a wrecked one or go aftermarket. I got a price on coilovers and those will be bought soon. I have to get the wheel debt out the way first  I love having something to look forward to and a direction. Especially when my Dad wants to do it with me!

Sounds exciting Chris. I would definately consider upgrading on the brakes beyond R/T if you are replacing them anyway. My experience has been that the stock R/T brakes are garbage and not up the the task of stopping these cars repeatedly from high speeds. I have also read where the police departments are having a lot of brake problems out of the Hemi cars. I am thinking of making this the next big mod I do on the Daytona.

On the motor swap I would also check with junk yards. you could possibly work out a trade in since your motor would have some value to them. As a matter of fact you might be able to work out one large parts swap and get almost everything you need from one place at a discount.

Some silver or grey Daytona stickers would look awesome with your car color IMO.

Maybe looking into buying a wrecked R/T. where you could take all you need part out the rest.

Your probably right. But that takes all the fun and glory out of building one yourself.

Actually when you have one of these lower model mopars they have no value at all even if they are in great condition like mine. And when you are upside down in the vehicle it would be stupid and cost a ton more money to trade it in for nothing and get even more upside down in another one. My car is almost paid for so why not spend some money in a motor swap.

Your probably right. But that takes all the fun and glory out of building one yourself.

I couldnt have said it better. Yeah I could go buy a HEMI any day and say hey look I bought a HEMI but who can truly say hey I bought a HEMI motor and installed it MYSELF in my car. Now thats what modding, customizing and true car build up is all about!

WOW, Chris!! That will be so awesome!! I know you're excited to get started. That will be super cool to see it transform! Have you tried LKQ to get prices on parts? Best of luck to you! :pepper:

Hey Chris it's cool that you and your dad are going to do this build together!! That alone makes it special in my book!!! Look into buying the engine and big parts from a certified recycle center. They usually have parts in way better condition then a junkyard!!! The brakes I would go with aftermarket kit!!! Good luck on your build!!!

There are 2 here that I know of. One is in Duncan area off Gap Creek Rd. (other side of Wade Hampton) and another in the White Horse Rd. area. They have a website: www.lkqcorp.com (http://www.lkqcorp.com). It's a recycled Auto Parts place. In fact, you can check all around different areas, like Savannah, to see if they have what you need.

I will like this post to go towards the idiot who left me a red bean for me not wanting to sell my mag to buy a HEMI.

I am upside down in the mag seeing that the car I had before was no where close to being paid for so that tacked on to the price of my magnum when I bought it. Yes it is getting close to being paid for, but if I wasnt upside down in it in the first place it would already be paid for. SO LETS PUT THIS TOGETHER!!! If I trade in my current magnum which the value for it according to Blue Book which all dealerships use I will get 8-9,000 for it which will not pay off my magnum leaving a pretty good chunk of money being tacked on to a used magnum with a HEMI (seeing they are no longer made) which would cause me to pay for a used HEMI magnum the price of a new one. My mom works at a dealership and I have been around this my whole life so I think I would know if I am upside down in my own car.

NEXT TIME, you want to doubt me or have a question how about ask instead of leaving me a red bean

FRESH4849

Oh and let me add if I wasnt upside in my current magnum I believe I would already have a HEMI Magnum or another Mopar of my choice
