I had often wondered IF the six weeks of radiation treatments for prostate cancer was worth it! After all I feel much worse NOW than before. Just feel so weak and tired all the time! I know they said it would take time to get my strength back, but this is ridiculous! And NOW they have requested me to go back to my heart doctor and request another "stress test". Honestly, I'm about burnt out going back and forth to the VA and being sent to other hospitals for threatments. I, too, am afraid they might see something and request me to have more heart surgery. I have already been through that six times!!!
However this morning I got a call from the Durham VA Hospital and they said we have some Great news; that my bloodwork has come back and my PSA level has dropped for over 6, (with the high being 7.1), down to a PSA of 0.9. When Tee took me up Friday the Urologist told US that they were hoping my PSA would drop somewhere around 1.
Other bit of good news is; next checkup isn't scheduled for SIX months!
Thank YOU ALL for all the kind words, thoughts and prayers while I was going through all of this. It really met so much for me... and I believe in my HEART that you all have helped!!! God Bless YOU ALL!
