I know it would probably be awhile to get this thing organized, but i was wondering what, when, where, how, etc. what does everything think? we have warm weather down here most of the year. i was thinking maybe mar/april of next year. make it a weekend thing. i was thinking maybe destin, fl area or even gulf shores,AL. its a neutral area between LA and FL. i was thinking somewhere near a beach b/c there will be plenty of stuff for us to do. swim, ski, waverunners , boats ,bikini's (not you jay) etc. thoughts? suggestions? i want to know what everyone thinks.

this is just an idea's thread, so throw them out there.

i love discounts. lol i want to try and lock down a place t have it, then we can start making a list of people coming then we can start working on hotels, events during the weekend, etc. anything big going on during a certain time like a HUGE car show or something like that where we could make a day of, carnival , anything. spring break would be crazy busy, dont know if we would want to deal with kids. think people. think!

Just an additional thought, Mopars at the Battleship happens during this time frame.

We could possibly tie into that on Saturday. We could be a large part of the show if most members can commit.

Here's the thing on blocking rooms, if we have 20 members that need rooms and we block those 20 rooms at a special rate, if someone backs out or cannot make it for any reason, the person setting up the room block is on the hook for any un-occupied rooms...so lets keep this in mind when setting up the tentative list.

so we have destin, fl or mopars at the battleship in mobile,al so far. there are 2 hiltons in daphne where i live. its 10min from the show. anyone else have a better place?

Im down with Destin and im not saying that cause I live really close to there. LOL I just think that it would be a fun place for everyone to get together and hang out. Not to mention that the beach there is on point!!! It should be too easy for us to network a little bit and get one of those parking lots down there locked down!!!

I'm game regardless of where we decide.

My thoughts with MATB was the space is available with just the price to show our stuff, network, and there are Mopar people there from around the Region.

Seriously if we decide on Destin we should lock into a lot to meet. We need to inquire on if we will have any costs, will we have to have insurance?

The reason for such questions comes with my job. We charge for the space and require Liability Insurance for anyone displaying. This killed the car show that has been coming for the past few years as a benefit to raise money for a cause.

I'm game for the weekend thing, just need to here from others who may have some thoughts.

Another thought, Sorry, It doesn't happen often. There is a State Park on the Beach in Destin we go down to. Lots of Parking, couple of bucks gets the family and car in, BEACH, Pavillions. This might be a great place as well. This sound better already!!!!!

There's also the Wharf in Orange beach. Huge parking lot and they seem to be looking for anything to draw business in.

They sure didn't show us any love at Mopars at the Battleship this year. If you didn't have a Viper or a New Chally ... or head of the club sponsoring the show...you didn't win (except jay, lol)... It's still a great show with lots to look at. I'm going back next year. To be honest, I could care less about winning a trophy. I just enjoyed meeting and hanging out with everyone; personally. I think it would be a great place for a M&G next year.
