Today I went to Landmark Dodge in McDonough Ga to give my R/T it's first oil change. I have done some mods to the car (as you can see in my tag line). I returned the car to stock tune before I took it in.

Soon as I pulled in,

Service manager - "Nice Car"! I thanked him.. "
Nice job on the flames"... Yeah, I like it.
Next statement "have you chipped it yet?" (aka predator).
Nope, I say... I haven't done that yet.
"You need to", it will definitely improve performance".
I said I was "wondering about the warranty impact"
"Doesn't impact anything at all".. "no problems with that"
"Have you installed CAI?"
Nope - put on the Cervini Ram Air though.
Cool... Okay, give me about an hour and I'll be done.

I walked around the lot.. 8 or 10 Challengers.. Two B5 blue R/T's. Everything 09 except two 2010 SRT's in black. All told about 5 black SRT's.

Walk back to service department about 30 mins later, and he pops up.. "All done". As we were walking to the cashier I asked if they check the TSB's etc to see if anything was needed. He said yes, everytime a car comes in we check and yours doesn't need anything.

I thought the comment about the Predator not impacting warranty was interesting. I know it shouldn't, but have wondered how the dealerships react to it. I bought the car from these guys, and Speedfactory is affiliated with them, so I think they are more understanding in terms of modifications than your average stealership. They are about an hour away for me, so I hope once my free oil changes are over, the local guys are as good.

All in all, good experience at Landmark Dodge.

Sounds good.. Glad you had a positive experience.
I bet the ghost flames look awesome on the Dark Titanium.

Hey mike glad to hear that you had a positive day at the dealership!!! I brought my car from Landmark in Morrow and they too have the same attitude because of their speedfactory ties.

Same dealership. Morrow or McDonough.. I always get confused between the two.

I was glad to hear their comment about the predator not being a problem warranty wise. I was always kinda wondering about it. I'll still revert it back to stock tune before I take it in, but was impressed they asked right up front.

I just wish they weren't so far away for me. I guess I could just keep going to them, after all, it's not like I have to drive there every day. Just gotta plan it and come up with a couple different things to do for the day.

Excellent, been wanting to step away from the dealer I've been workign with for repairs...

Only reason I went to them was they were local, but the service techs were not very low on the communication end... As well as when I drive in there they look at the challenger like they had not seen it before...

Landmark will probably be my next service visit...

Landmark is a good shop... took mine there when I was having 6-speed issues and they expedited a new trans (this was last Feb when Tremec was still behind). Had her up and running again in two days. Very friendly staff and they kept me notified about what was going on, which a lot of shops who talk big about their service never seem to get around to.

Good to know they're tuner-friendly though, didn't think to ask when I was there since my RT only had about 800 miles on her then. Still, it would be a bad idea not to flash-back to factory before taking in your car. If they did a flash with the DS tune still on the car you're going to have problems, and it sounds like they will automatically apply any updates needed.

So far all my experience with them has been postive!!

Yeah, regardless of what I bring it in for, I will always put it back to stock tune. Not taking any chances with that.
