Guys I am looking for a good place Atl that does dyno testing and tuning. Can anyone help me out and tell me the process so I know what to look for

Okay lets try this again!!! I would like to know how many would like to do the dyno run @ Injected Engineering!! Second when would the majority like to have this? The weekend of the 19th of DEC. or Jan 9th or 16th. I believe that Jan would be better for several reasons. But I will try very hard to make it happen DEC.19th if that's what you guys want. I still have to contact ryan @ Injected to hammer out the details. If he holds true to what he told me then $55 for three pulls. For those that would like to get a custom tune then I have to get a quote. So please answer back as soon as you can so that we may get this done!!!

I need to see how my baby does on another dyno. I had mine Dyno tuned at MPH a couple of months back. Their moving to Chicago. I met the guys at Injected Engineering a few weeks back and I will be talking to them after the holidays about some more work on my baby.

I have not heard back from Injected engineering. They are closed until the 13th. Due to a trade show that they are attending now. As soon as I get a hold of them or I will have Joe drop by since he lives 5min. away from them!!!:naughty: Stay tuned!!

That said, you'll find Injected Engineering is a great place, some of their people have worked on past cars of mine.

I have a Diablo Predator, and everyone has said to get a custom tune, but I'm just don't know enough about it. Is it worth it if I only have bolt-ons?

We will be have a dyno run so that each of us can see what our cars are making HP wise.To answer your question, even with just the bolt-ons a custom tune will adjust the car even more. This custom tune will be made for your car with the data gathered on the dyno. While the predator is a universal tune!! I still have to find out what the charge is for the custom tune. The shops usually charge a per hour fee.

We also have another shop that we can deal with. Donny sent me this info.
It's owned by a good friend of mine who you have met at Caffiene and Octane, Marty Ochs. He's the guy with the old Mopars. His Chief tech is Jeff Harris, who worked at MPH, ran his own shop before that, and was a master tech at Team Ford in Marietta before that. They have an in ground dyno. As a new shop, I would think they'd love to have a dyno day for Mopars.

Air fuel ratio for one. Timing for another.
The canned tunes that come with the predator are good but they don't and can't do everything as each car is different.
Tim had mine on the dyno for about 3 hours. Running it, making adjustments on his PC. Installing the tune running it again to get new numbers. And doing that several times.

Low end gain at 3500 RPM's was 28 HP and 42 ft.lbs. torque
Max gain was 7 hp and 22 FT.LBS. torque

Overall 346.3 HP and 382 Ft.Lbs. Torque at the wheels.

Okay gang Joe and I stopped by the shop! We talked to Erick about having the dyno day on the 16th of Jan. Ryan called me today as well. We need a min. of 6 cars to reserve the dyno day. The cost is $55 for three pulls per car!!! I need to know who is going for sure by the end of this coming week!! We need to have a deposit of $165 to reserve the day. That is 1/2 of the $55 for the 6 cars. Even if we get more then 6 cars we do not have to give any further deposits!!! This is a sweet deal hope many of you can take advantage of it. I called Injected Engineering this afternoon to see if a canopy might be useful if we have a (whispering this) rain shower. I talked to Ryan and he said that would be fine and I could set it up beside the grill so that anyone going after a hot dog would not have to get wet. I got the idea that they have a grill. Someone should confirm this.

Ryan seemed excited about having the group on Saturday. He was going to call Jettech104 to find out what time we would be arriving.

I will bring a canopy...just in case.

In order to crank up the excitement a bit, how bout we share what mods have been done that will show up on the dyno.

Me - Only thing I've added is Cervini Ram Air and Predator tune. Im planning on first pull just the cervini, stock tune. Followed by 93 CAI tune pull. Last pull reserved for any changes that might be suggested.

What is everyone else bringing to the party?

Okay Ryan(injected engineering) called me this morining and asked me a couple of questions. I told him we were having six cars coming. As far as I know no one was having a custom tune done!! Please correct me if I am wrong so that I can update him!!!!:old: We will be starting at 9-930am so Mike it would be great if you arrived at about 10am. Jared he said we should be done about 230pm-4pm. If anybody has a question or suggestion feel free to "let your fingers do the walking.":thk:

I deftly removed the front and bottom out of my air box, and have an SRT intake duct, if that counts. (WTH is up with that "muffler" on the R/T duct anyway? Who thought that that would be a good idea?)
Not likely that it'll make any difference on the dyno, or in the real world for that matter. But it sounds a bit better.
And let's not forget the "engine shroud delete". Guaranteed to be worth as much extra HP as a "Type R" sticker. :p

In other words.. Box stock. But good for a baseline.

Glad you'll be there. It will be good to see a bone stock on the dyno for a baseline. My first pull will be close, but Im not taking the Cervini system off just to get a baseline.

Not been online for a few days so just seen the latest posts. I'm stock aside from the Corsa (not sure what difference that will make).

I plan to be there at about 9am - I won't be able to stay for too long (but will obviously wait for my turn in the line) - just hd a new arrival (daughter #2) so to keep wife happy (happy wife = happy life and green light for future planned mods :smileup:), best not stay out all day !!!

Yup, I echo Joe's comments. Thanks to all of you for the great day. Very professionally run shop, professional equipment and great group of guys (even if I had to park under a MUSTANG).

Was good to see you and Eddie again and meet some of the other guys. Learned alot - confirmed alot and just an overall great day even though it rained.

Fun day indeed...really good quality shop / facilities...I can foresee that place taking a lot of my hard earned $ in the months to come...it took me all of 40 minutes this morning before the AMEX came out!

This was more Challengers and Chargers than I've ever seen gathered together in one place. Truly some unique and beautiful vehicles, with lots of very nice custom touches.

When I decide what I want to do (and what I can afford to spend) I'm definitely going back to Injected.
(My wife said "You'd better get to work. They're going to be gunning for you." ;) Think I'll keep her. :D )

Having an interesting discussion on challengertalk. I posted my results (and mentioned some others). Apparantly, unbeknownst to probably most of us, Auto's are having some "issues" on Dyno's. Apparantly the auto's are shifting into 5th gear and dropping off, resulting in less than anticipated results. Does anyone here know if the guys were running our Auto's in "auto stick mode" and if they stayed in 4th gear, or upshifted into 5th? Apparantly, the predator software version 9r21 has a dyno mode, that will keep it from upshifting too soon, allowing for a more accurate reading.

I don't know enough to speak to it one way or another.. All I know is I had a blast and enjoyed meeting everyone. Here's the thread on challengertalk if you're interested.

They were shifting. He wasn't letting off until after the shift.
I remember because I wondered which gear they were being run in and shifting into.
Is 4th gear 1:1 in the automatic cars?
Regardless... Numbers or not, it's been proven repeatedly that automatics are quicker and more consistent going down the 1/4. And easier on the half-shafts, too. :D

I'll be talking to Aric this week about the auto's vs the Sticks. It makes sense that the auto's will loose more through the tranny.

Roger that.. Im sure that auto's would lose more than the 6sp. Interesting also is that someone else posted in the Dyno thread the following

347 to the rear wheels for me, 09 RT Classic w/ Kand N cai, Magnaflow exhaust, OBX racing long tubes, Predator tune.

Granted, different dyno. But my best was 345 with stock exhaust, Cervini and predator tune. That would seem to imply that exhaust mods have little or no impact. The guy running our cars said as much as well.

It's all interesting and does make for interesting conversation.

Well I was not surprised with the numbers!!! My car was dead on with what I had figured. With just a Cai and the flowmasters installed my best was 349hp 364tq. These mods just help the car breath better and gives it a better sound then factory system!! Just my two cents worth!!!:old:

Hey Joe-- did you get your braided line kit from BMC or elsewhere? I liked that. I was embarrassed to open my hood after looking at freakin' stairway to heaven and firewalls....LOL
