Do you know if Marcus is going Friday night? Last I heard he is,him and that friend already have a room somewhere down there. Hopefully he will chime in and fill you in on what his plans are. BLACKBEAUTY 11-08-2009, 11:52 PM I'll see if I can make it. Too many car shows in a row. I may have to work.:shakehead: Someone has to pay for my baby and her toys. Joe Revmarc 11-09-2009, 02:43 AM Yep, going over Friday night. My friend with the Challenger just bought a Porsche Cayman, so he's going to take it. I think I've talked my dad into taking his C6 Vette, too. Gonna be a blast! I'll PM You my cell #, Traincrafter, so you can text or call me and we'll hook up. We're all gonna run in the amateur class, since we have no track experience. And Shane, I've tried to get Ross on here and to go with us, but he always seems to have something going on. We'll get him, though! :D Mopar 11-09-2009, 04:44 AM And Shane, I've tried to get Ross on here and to go with us, but he always seems to have something going on. Mopar 11-10-2009, 06:13 PM Shane, Are you and Susan coming for the cheering section? No sir I wish I was.....I don't think I could stand it watching ya'll go around the track and me on the sidelines....But I hope you and Marcus give us some great pics. to enjoy from this event.... Revmarc 11-11-2009, 03:36 AM I sure wish you were going, Shane. I've almost got my dad talked into bringing his C6! Mopar 11-11-2009, 07:55 PM I sure wish you were going, Shane. Traincrafter 11-11-2009, 09:09 PM Getting tires doesn't hurt near so bad if you close your eyes when signing. I found out Saturday when I replaced the rears....wonder why they went first? Anyone other than me put the car on jack stands to take only the wheels to the tire store? That way, they don't bring you some stripped lug nuts with a sad look on their face. No-I'm not obsessed. No-I'm not obsessed. Mopar 11-11-2009, 10:41 PM Getting tires doesn't hurt near so bad if you close your eyes when signing. Revmarc 11-22-2009, 04:10 AM FUNFUNFUNFUNFUN!!!!!!! WOW did we have a great time! To make things even more incredible, I had Randy Probst (professional driver) drive my car around the track with me in the car, teaching me some tricks and showing me the line to take. Talk about an e-ticket ride! WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! I bought the CD from the track photographer that will have all the pics of me, Kenny (Traincrafter) and all the rest of the cars. I have never seen as many Porsches in one place in my life. But not one Viper, SHANE!!! :D Let me tell ya, though, after today, I really want some BREMBOOOOOS! My buddy Ross, Randy Probst, and me: http://photos-a.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc3/hs100.snc3/16742_1275153806755_1467250208_30758734_2326195_n. jpg Heading into turn 1: http://photos-g.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc3/hs100.snc3/16742_1275153846756_1467250208_30758735_8255904_n. jpg Coming of of turn 10a: http://photos-e.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc3/hs100.snc3/16742_1275153886757_1467250208_30758736_5957246_n. jpg http://photos-c.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc3/hs100.snc3/16742_1275153966759_1467250208_30758737_8270868_n. jpg Mopar 11-22-2009, 04:22 AM Man that looked like a blast coming out of turn 10a....How was tire wear?? I look forward to the pics. and I can see the chrome glad 20" on your car in the first pic..I look forward to a better shot of your car with those on there... I guess you had a little brake fade uh??........LOL about the Brembooooooo's!!!!!! Revmarc 11-22-2009, 02:53 PM Tires still look like new. Told ya!! :D Mopar 11-22-2009, 05:31 PM Tires still look like new. Told ya!! :D CHOCOLATE!!!!!! I did not wanna hear that.... Did they let you drive it hard enough into the turns to make the tires slide or did ya'll have escort driver ya'll had to follow?? I know if they would have let me out there free wheeling my tires would have been shot...I tend to overdrive the car into turns just going up mountain roads around here. Traincrafter 11-22-2009, 06:36 PM After the 1st session, which was a lead-follow 20 minutes, we were allowed to drive as hard as we were capable. We could pass (for me it was be passed) in the three straight aways. Revmark represented the Challenger very well. The sight of his car filling up my rear view mirror is one I won't forget. Very intimadating. You did not have to wear the tires out to go fast. There is a big difference between the mountain turns and the turns on this track. Maybe a 60 to 80 mph difference. Wish you had been there. Me too, maybe next year I will be out of the babying it stage... Glad ya'll had a good time and I will just have to plan on doing this next year....Maybe the Foose Show will get back to letting you go on the track at his show in the summer. Revmarc 11-22-2009, 10:18 PM Oh, tires were howlin', baby. Especially after being shoewn how to drive it by Randy Pobst. Back end got out a little a couple of times, so there was some mild corrective steering and judicious application of throttle, and still little tire wear. Chocolate, indeed. ;D Mopar 11-22-2009, 11:44 PM Oh, tires were howlin', baby. Especially after being shoewn how to drive it by Randy Pobst. Revmarc 11-24-2009, 03:31 AM And Kenny, I hope I didn't push you! I was wanting to let you know I'd go around you, but I didn't want to flash my lights or anything :D. I didn't want to pass you without letting you know I was coming, so I'm sorry if I was too aggressive. :Racing: Traincrafter 11-24-2009, 04:50 AM Nothing at all to be sorry about. I didn't think of anything being too aggressive. Bump drafting would have been too aggressive.:D Revmarc 11-24-2009, 04:06 PM Rubbin' is racing LOL!!
