MHemi 10-31-2009, 01:12 PM I need to replace my 2 rear tires(go figure!).Whats on there now are Pirelli P-Zero Rosso"s, 275/40/20.
Any recommendations on what is the best bang for the buck that comes in this size?:4-dontknow:
sickr bee 10-31-2009, 01:39 PM Love my Toyo Proxes 4s, but you have to get them off Internet as D.T. doesn't stock/sell them.

OK look like they do, here is what I found. I will research!
275/40ZR20 300 AA A 106W $150.00
$150 A good price for these?
The pirellis are $399!
RedInfierno 10-31-2009, 01:51 PM 150 sounds pretty good.. i would say do a lil more research and u might be able to find it cheaper and dont forget to check the local shops, as my own experience i ended up finding cheaper tires locally than online, hard to believe but true, 20" yokohamas at that time :D
Good luck buddy
sickr bee 10-31-2009, 02:03 PM Your not gonna find them local as they are imported thru two distributers in US, tiresdirect is prob the cheapest, that's why DT can't sell them. I was told that Hancook is owned by Toyo, uses Toyo molds and compounds but made in Korea, if u want cheaper.

Well the prices I am seeing for the Proxes 4 tires are more than 1/2 less that the Pirelli's are! But let me go check the Hancook's Thanks
sickr bee 10-31-2009, 02:30 PM No prob, brother. Don't remember now, but think shippin was bout $15-$20 per tire, but less than local sales tax would have been. Heard good bout Nitto also, so good luck on makin a decision, the HARDEST part!

Decision is hard! I read that the Hankooks were ok if you replaced them all so as for now I am leaning toward the Proxes4. Next I will research the Nitto's.

what do you meen you cant find them locally i have four tire shops that stock them around where i live
sickr bee 10-31-2009, 03:50 PM Just ment big chains don't sell them, cause they can't get as good a deal on them, as I was told they are imported thru Canada to US, by only two wholesalers. That's the reason D.T. doesn't sell them. Don't take them there to get mounted, as I had another set that I sold to a brother, they wanted $50 a wheel to mount and balance, so you may find them local, but it's easier to get them on-line, here anyway.
Jettech104 10-31-2009, 04:47 PM I used to work at a tire shop. My best advice is to shop local. For a couple of reasons. one you would have to pay to have them mounted. two the shop wont honor any warranty if there is one. three you could probably get a deal if you are buying a set or better yet all four tires. good luck.

I here you and appreciate all advice! The back up on warranty is a good point!
There are a lot of tire dealers around here,in fact I personally do not care for DT. They have Never treated me good and Last time I had my good year supercars mounted on the front they really messed it up.
I ended going to a local shop and they rebalanced it for me saying DT only balanced one edge !(problem was fixed!)
I will most likely go to them again and see if they can get what I need. I may pay a little extra up front but I know they will stand behind them!
Pmcd95 10-31-2009, 06:55 PM Call Fifth Gear on Atlantic, see what they can do for ya. I got a great deal on my new wheels and tires from then.
