Hey guys I moved the post over to this new thread so that we can keep stuff off of the Members list!! We will use this as the title implies. For ideas, feedback, blogging etc... Thanks for the support and understanding!! Eddie

Now we need to get all 12 of us together at one time.......LOL

Eddie, may be we can plan a ride like we are doing this weekend with Shane's group in state and give several weeks in advance notice.

Hey and we can invite Shane's group down here and return the favor.

What do you guys think about having a dyno day? I met the manager of INJECTED ENGINEERING. They are based out of Kennesaw,GA.!! He quoted me a price of $55 dollars for three pulls on the dyno!! We would get a tour of their shop!! They had a lot of the cars that they have worked on at the Hooters show that I went to. Let me know if you guys and gals are interested and about what date ya would like this to happen. If we get enough people for it then I will call him and set up a day!!!

Hi guys!

Just a thought..
What about starting a category of Meet, Eat & Ride (Once a month club)

Would be a good non-intrusive way to get together and share.
Could be fun!?!

Maybe meet on weekends like a Saturday around noon'ish or so..
preferably somewhere central to all members. whereby we could say hi to members in person have a nice bite to eat, and have a line of MOPARS rolling somewhere. Have like a sign up list, so we know for sure how many members might participate in it.. :wavey:

JohnHey John we have tried to get together before. But its hard to do with our different schedules. We are also scattered all over GA and hard to pick a location that is central to everyone. We are open to any input that you might have. Thanks Eddie

Hey John we have tried to get together before. But its hard to do with our different schedules. We are also scattered all over GA and hard to pick a location that is central to everyone. We are open to any input that you might have. Thanks Eddie

Well here is my idea in a nutshell:

To make if reasonably good for all, a central meeting place like MidTown Atlanta, to gather anyone interested maybe meet at like a Piedmont Park, from there once we all gather we could roll together in show, once a month could be a western side of GA trip and the next month eastern side of Ga trip followed by a month for northern and southern GA etc.

With midtown Atlanta basically central to GA, yet expensive to eat, we could say if its a eastern GA trip start by meeting in MidTown, Atlanta rolling together to eastern GA to an agreed upon spot by someone that knows the area to dine and travel, then roll for a small trip to a nice park that maybe someone from that side of GA knows, site of interest etc gather for a short while and converse more.

This might help people that are dispersed all over GA, to allow them to attend, and the benefit is, the riders might get to know another side of GA, they might not of ever seen or known about before and get to visit.

This could be organized to happen maybe monthly, or quarterly or semi annually or annually.. to make it easier for people.. Quarterly would probably work best for most people. Also since more people have weekends off, I'd suggest the events to happen maybe like on the weekends either Fridays or Saturdays.

Just a thought, and my 2 cents ;-)

Maybe we could all give our adresses and plot them on a map, then find somewhere that is most central that way, or we could do a dynamic location, and each month pick somewhere new that is closer to the members that had to drive farther last month.

Sounds like a good idea.

I know Eddie's schedule is crazy. Patrick is on 24/7 and since I own my own business, despite what people think.....lol, I work 7 days a week sometimes.

But let's see if we can make this work. Once a month sounds good!!!

I mean it won't be mandatory or anything, but something like every second Saturday of the month anyone that wants to could meet up at the predetermined location time. That way it gives something to schedule around if possible.

[General info]
Ok, so far sounding good. What I'll do is, I'll place a post in the month prior to the planned trip month with the date of the travel plans. Hopefully, this will allow a lot of time for people to plan or know if they can attend and be ready.

In the subject, I'll name it "Trip of the Month". Would be nice if as its known that someone can attend or not that people provide feedback, as to yea or nay that they can make it. If we have enough people that say they can make it I'll post a list of who is planning on making it, the times and other important info.

If there is not enough interest or people being busy and can't make it, I'll post that as well so maybe a person or two don't get hung out to dry and show up to an event that doesn't happen that month.

We as a group will try and keep it as flexible as possible where we decide to meet and its itinerary.

That way the majority of the people can decide if its doable for them and something they'd like to attend.

What is nice about this is - this can give people a chance to meet other like minded people, and enjoy a nice safe time, and possibly learn of sites, that they might not of ever had the chance to see, plus a nice touch of having MOPARS rolling together and the possiblity of making new friends or networking.

[More specific info]
To simplify this and possibly give it the best chance to succeed here is what I propose:

Since we need someone knowledgeable of an area for the itinerary part, we have a Lead Person. So what I mean is we set the area based upon someones local area.

For example say Joe lives in Kennesaw, that month we'd meet up in Kennesaw at a place chosen by the person living in Kennesaw, then the next month, it might be, say in Douglasville, then the person living in or knows Douglasville would take the lead and be the host person, possibly setting a site to meet and its itinerary, etc.

That way if a person likes what they see and it works ok for them they can decide to attend. What would be helpfull is if- once we do meet or online post where a town you live or know, that way the next month, the meeting could come say to your area.

Does this sound workable and easy enough? The more people that participate, we can expand the areas and sites to see and possibly even gain more members..

Here's a possible suggestion for August. It's actually August 1st. Rides for Racks. Lake Lanier resort. It's on a Sunday

Yup, Im planning on going. Looks like they took alot of the suggestions folks had to improve. My understanding is they will have multiple categories, which will make it more inviting for more folks I hope.

It's a great cause, near and dear to my heart, so I will definitely be there.

How 'bout you? Hope everyone puts it on their calendar.

Is their anyway we can get some ATL chapter business cards? I ran into a guy today with a det yellow Daytona Charger and mentioned the site to him (He is not in any clubs and wants to be). The issue is I didn't have anything to write with and am not sure that he will remember the site name. If we all had a few cards and we meet someone with a nice car, I think it would be great advertising. We could have one person by a larger quantity and when we get to a meet the others could purchase a stack off the person.

Have you guys checked out the show site? There are a couple of events in Ga. You'll have to see if they are doable.

http://www.flacarshows.com/SHoos.htm

I have one suggestion that applies to all chapters. If you are going somewhere and it sounds like it would work as a M&G, post it up and if anyone can show, they show. You were going anyway, so it won't affect your plans if no one else comes. But if they do, it is just a bonus. Does that make sense. If you are going to a junkyard to look around, post where and when. If someone else wants to go they can show up. If your plans change, post up before the day so everyone can decide if they want to go anyway. A trip to the parts store, a trip to grab lunch, a trip to get fuel. Just about anything would work. It might be a way to get started. A trip to a dealer to look at new vehicles.
